MINI COOPER S COUNTRYMAN
More exciting than the COUNTRYMAN S!
We had photographed the high-performance version of the next-generation MINI COUNTRYMAN, THE COUNTRYMAN S, in both Munich and Newburgh, and this time, we found a new car with four exhaust pipes. During this time, more and more models of the BMW Group applied a four-way exhaust pipe design that looked more sporty.
The next-generation COUNTRYMAN not only shares the platform with BMW's new X1, but also has basically the same powertrain. At the moment we know that the new X1 M35i will have more than 300 horsepower, so this should also be the level of the COOPER S COUNTRYMAN. In addition to being more powerful, this version features a stronger braking system, stiffer suspension tuning, and sporty seats. Interestingly, we can also see the word No. 98 gasoline on the fuel filling port from the photo, which is not good news at a time when oil prices are high.
The traditional circular center screen of MINI is still retained in the cab, but it has now been upgraded to a touch screen. Physical gauges will no longer be installed in front of the driver and will be replaced by a head-up display system (HUD). In addition, there are also claims that the new generation of COUNTRYMAN will also introduce a higher performance version, which will provide strong traction through a plug-in hybrid system with a total power of 322 horsepower – just like AMG is doing now. The new generation of MINI COUNTRYMAN, officially unveiled next year, will be "Made in Germany" for the first time and will be produced at the Leipzig plant along with the new X1.
BMW M3 CS
Have a back door, no back seat?
BMW is currently testing the M4 CSL, and the M3 CS has recently appeared in the field of vision. As can be seen from these spy photos, the front of the M3 CS is no different from the M4 CSL, including an air intake grille with a unique structure, special headlights, and an even more exaggerated aerodynamic kit.
The high-performance model, which is expected to be released next spring, is said to have a maximum power of around 540 horsepower, but it is a slight pity that it will only be equipped with an automatic transmission and will no longer be available in a manual version. Thanks to the rather large number of carbon fiber components, the car will be significantly lighter, making it a true four-door track beast.
On the previous M4 CSL test vehicle, the rear windows were covered to hide the removal of the rear seats. And this M3 CS also has the same camouflage, it doesn't have a rear seat either? This is still an unsolved mystery.
Ford Transit Custom
A variety of motivations are at your disposal
The Transit Custom is the shorter of the Transit family, and it was changed to front-wheel drive, making it more suitable for carrying rather than carrying cargo. The new Generation Transit Custom test vehicle recently appeared in southern Europe, and this is the first time it has been found with a production body. Despite the tight camouflage, we can deduce from the photos that the car's new front design includes the left and right headlights connected together by a strip of lights.
By the time it launches next spring, the Transit Custom will be available not only in its traditional gasoline and diesel versions, but also in all-electric, light hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. In addition, it will also be the prototype of Volkswagen's next-generation Transferer, just like the Toroo Connect is derived from Volkswagen's Kaidi, which is the product of a strategic cooperation between Volkswagen and Ford.
Minor makeover of the BMW M135i
Or the M140i?
The BMW four-pipe model we just mentioned appeared again: this time it was an M135i. In fact, while we've seen a few small iterations of the 1 Series, those are all versions with a regular powertrain. At the rear of this test car, the four exhaust pipes are particularly eye-catching, and the same design is applied to the next-generation X1 M35i.
The car's chassis is lower than the original and has larger brake discs, but the biggest change is the layout of the exhaust pipes. It is for this reason that there are also doubts that the car will be directly upgraded to the M1 140i. To compete with the AMG A45 and Audi RS, the car will have nearly 400 horsepower.
From the photos, the small revamped 1 series headlights will be more rounded and more slender. Through the camouflage film, we can see that the "double kidney" air intake grille has not become very large, and we don't want it to become the big nostrils of the new 2 Series station wagon. The design of the front bumper has also been changed to keep it fresh for years to come. The situation at the rear is unclear at the moment, but at least the bumper has undergone some adjustments to accommodate more exhaust pipes. Similar to the 2 Series Station wagon, the 1 Series will introduce the iDrive 8 system with a large screen after a minor makeover, while the manual transmission will still be reserved for those who love to do it themselves.
Audi S6
The true face is unclear
We also recently discovered the car by ear: the Audi S6 looks mild-mannered, but it makes such a loud engine noise that the photographer hears before he even sees it. On the spy photo, its exhaust pipe is installed more casually, and under the left rear body, there is also a box of unknown purpose.
We say that this car is an Audi S6 is not strict, because although it has the body of the S6, there does not seem to be any new changes in other parts, and it is not clear which car it exists for.
