Seven days before his death, Confucius got up early. He waited at the door of the house for Zigong to sing: "Tarzan is decadent? Beam wood is bad? Philosophers wither? ”
This song can be said to be Confucius's self-sacrifice poem. In the poem, he compares himself to a philosopher. Now look at it, Confucius is really too modest. When he lamented that "the Ming King was not happy", he did not expect that he would be posthumously regarded as the "Most Holy Ancestor of Dacheng" by later generations, and became the person who had the greatest influence on the ancient society of the mainland.

Faced with the question of "repaying grievances with virtue", Confucius asked rhetorically: "Why repay virtue?" Repay grievances with directness, and repay virtue with virtue. ”

Confucius said, "Even if you sleep on a straw mat and wear a shield on your pillow, if you are not an official, you must not wear the sky with your enemies." This violent temper can be said to be the best portrayal of "complaining directly". Confucius was open-minded by nature, and no amount of difficulties could make him change his ambition.
Once, Confucius was separated from his disciples in Zhengguo. Zigong looked for him everywhere, and a Zheng guoren told Zigong: "There is a person standing at the East Gate, his forehead is like Yao, his neck is like Gao Tao, and his shoulders are like Zheng Zichan, but he is three inches shorter than Yu below the waist, and he looks like a dog who has lost his family." ”
After Zigong found Confucius, he told him the original words of Zheng Ren. Confucius laughed after listening to it: "Appearance is secondary, but it is very evocative to say that I am like a dog that has lost my family!" "Confucius's ability to humor is not ordinary, and he can calmly cope with it no matter how fiercely he is complained about."
On another occasion, Confucius and his disciples were besieged between the Kingdoms of Chen and Cai, without food for seven consecutive days. Seeing that he was about to starve to death, Confucius was still interested in playing the piano and singing.
Zilu teased, "Does a gentleman have such an embarrassing day?" In such a severe situation, Confucius still made golden sentences in seconds: "Gentlemen are poor, and villains are indiscriminate." ”
Confucius's attitude is clear: we cannot choose our own destiny, but we can choose the posture of facing fate.
Confucius / Kill yourself
A gentleman dies without a crown
When there was a rebellion in weiguo, the monarchs fled to foreign countries. Zilu did not heed the advice, insisting on entering the city and repaying the country with his death. Under siege by the enemy, Zilu was outnumbered, seriously wounded, and the rope used to fix the hat was also cut.
Before dying, Zilu remembered Confucius's teaching that "a gentleman dies without a crown", so he calmly put on his hat and died. Zilu used his life to practice Confucius's teaching of "killing oneself to become benevolent", highlighting the noble spirit of Chinese mighty and indomitable.
After hearing about the riots in Weiguo, Confucius sighed: "Alas, Zhongyu is dead!" Soon, the news of Zilu's death came. After learning that Zilu had been cut into meat sauce, Confucius was so sad that people poured out all the meat sauce in the house. Since then, Confucius has never eaten meat sauce again.
A year ago, Yan Hui's death hollowed out Confucius's heart. This time, Zi lu's death stripped Confucius of his last spiritual pillar, and Confucius became seriously ill. A year later, Confucius also passed away.
Zilu's murderer died in another war two years later, but Zilu's integrity is still in the annals of history.
The ideas of Confucius have been immortal for thousands of years and still deeply affect our national character today.
