It can be seen that the Zen4 Xiaolong processor is still a chiplet chip design inside, integrating as many as 13 chips, including 12 CCDs and 1 IOD, the former is a group of 3 every 3, around the IOD.

Due to the new 5nm process and the new Zen4 architecture, the area of the CCD has been reduced from 80 square millimeters to 72 square millimeters, the IOD has also been reduced from 416 square millimeters to about 397 square millimeters, and the socket socket has expanded from LGA4094 by about 37% to LGA6096, so it is not a problem to accommodate so many small chips, but the arrangement is also more dense.
In addition, Zen4 Xiaolong will also support 12 channels of DDR5 memory, a maximum capacity of 12TB per channel, and support 128 PCIe 5.0 buses.
