Presumably, everyone has heard of a disease called "Parkinson's" in daily life, which is a degenerative disease of the nervous system commonly found in middle-aged and elderly people.
A large number of studies have shown that the disease mostly occurs after the age of 60, and its main symptom is that the patient's physical activity is becoming slower and slower, and there is a significant tremor in the hands, feet and other parts of the body.
Because of this, in daily life, as long as the elderly have symptoms of hand shaking, they will naturally associate with "Parkinson's".
As everyone knows, hand shaking is only a symptom of the disease, it is not a specific manifestation of Parkinson's, there are many diseases that may cause hand shaking symptoms, such as the following categories:
1. Cerebral arteriosclerosis
The disease is part of systemic arteriosclerosis and is an important basis for acute cerebral blood circulation, particularly ischemic stroke.
Relevant studies have shown that the appearance of cerebral arteriosclerosis is related to multiple factors such as three high diseases, obesity, long-term smoking and alcohol abuse, gender, and age growth.
Affected by arteriosclerosis, insufficient blood supply to the brain, etc., the patient's motor center may have obstacles, such as numbness in the fingers and toes, or a feeling of crawling on the skin like a mosquito, or a feeling of muscle tension and soreness in the neck and back. Some patients will also be accompanied by symptoms such as inflexibility of fingers, limb weakness, and hand shaking;
2. Ischemic stroke
This is a kind of stroke, which refers to the brain tissue damage caused by excessive narrowing or blockage of blood vessels, resulting in blood flowing into the brain normally, which is commonly known as "cerebral infarction".
Among all stroke types, its incidence rate is quite high, accounting for about 60 to 70% of the total number of patients.
When a patient suddenly suffers a stroke and affects the motor center, there will be symptoms such as numbness in one limb, shaking and weakness in the hand, inability to lift the arm normally, inability to lift the water cup normally, and in extremely severe cases, the patient may even suddenly be paralyzed;
3. Idiopathic tremor
This is the most common clinical movement disorder disease in mainland China, and its main manifestation is postural and motor tremors on the patient's hands, head or other parts of the body.
Data suggest that idiopathic tremor appears to be a mild, monosymptomatic disease, but it is a progressive disease with significant clinical variants. In the patient's state of high concentration, extreme nervousness, fatigue, and hunger, the symptoms will be significantly worsened.
In most patients, after drinking alcohol, the symptoms of tremor will temporarily disappear, but it will worsen the next day, which is also a typical clinical symptom of idiopathic tremor;
4. Hepatic encephalopathy
If the patient has a serious liver disease, such as cirrhosis, liver cancer, etc., suddenly appear hand shaking symptoms, may also be a manifestation of the arrival of complications "hepatic encephalopathy".
Because severe liver disease can cause dysfunction of central extension systems based on metabolic disorders, the most characteristic symptom is neurological signs, and patients may have a pterodactyne tremor, which can occur unilaterally or bilaterally.
All in all, although hand shaking is a symptom of Parkinson's, other diseases can also cause the appearance of hand shaking. Especially after entering the old age stage, due to the gradual decline of various functions of the body and the aging of organs, it is easy to be found by diseases.
Therefore, we can't just jump to conclusions based on one symptom, and actively carry out relevant tests and find out the cause is the most important.
