What could be caused by hand shaking?

There are several cases of hand shaking, which correspond to different causes:

1. Enhanced physiological tremor: all people may have physiological tremor, but it is generally difficult to detect with the naked eye, and enhanced physiological tremor can be clearly detected with the naked eye, often due to specific situations or medications, such as anxiety, nervousness, fatigue, drinking coffee or strong tea, some drugs (such as bronchodilators, corticosteroids, statins, etc.). It usually lasts for a short time, but can be relieved after the elimination of triggers, and has little impact on life.

2. Alcohol and drug withdrawal-related tremor: associated with alcohol or drug withdrawal. When it stops abruptly after long-term alcohol consumption or use of benzodiazepines (usually sleep-aiding anxiolytic effects), tremors or agitation (restlessness, excessive limb movement, irritability of excitation impulses, and anxiety) may occur after withdrawal.

3. Idiopathic tremor: an idiopathic disorder that causes involuntary tremor of the limbs, mouth, face, and vocal cords.

4. Parkinson's disease or Parkinson's syndrome: Parkinson's-like manifestations include involuntary tremors of the limbs (often "pill-like" small tremors in the hands), slow movements, walking postures that look as if they are about to fall forward, difficult to start, and difficult to stop.

5. Cerebellar lesions: Cerebellar lesions can manifest as tremors as the limb moves toward a target, such as uncontrollable shaking of the hand as the arm is straightened and fingers are pointed at the tip of the nose, or uncontrollably shaking as the arm is reached for an object.

6. Other complex tremors: such as Wilson's degeneration, Holmes tremor, etc.

People with hand shaking may also experience some emotional distress, and while paying attention to the relief of symptoms, don't forget to take good care of your emotions. You can improve your mood through lifestyle changes such as meditation and exercise, and you can also help yourself solve emotional distress through psychological counseling. In addition, the understanding and care of the family is also of great help to the emotional recovery of the patient.
