Presumably, the new car may be a pure electric medium-sized SUV developed by Volkswagen for the European market. From the photos, the body of this "mule car" is covered with black tape in many places, which may mean that the size of the new car is much larger than that of tiguan L.
Previously, there were rumors that Volkswagen would introduce the pure electric large SUV ID.6 specially supplied by the Chinese market to the European market in the future, and even earlier some media photographed the ID.6 camouflage car being tested in Europe, but the appearance of this set of photos may mean that Volkswagen will launch a second model at this level, and this new car will most likely be based on the MEB platform.
From the photos, the tilt angle of the mule's C-pillar is very different from the original model, and the significantly larger size of the rear door may mean that the new car will have a wheelbase performance far beyond the Tiguan Allspace. At the same time, the new car's longer rear overhang also guarantees the third row of seating space and luggage compartment loading capacity. According to foreign media speculation, the new car will be used as the successor model of Tiguan in the European market, and will also provide 5-seater/7-seat models. Its overall design style can refer to the ID.ROOMZZ concept car released at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show.

In terms of power and endurance, it is expected that the maximum power of the new car will reach 225kw (306 horsepower), according to the level of configuration, the new car will be equipped with two kinds of battery packs with a capacity of 77kWh and 100kWh, and the comprehensive cruising range of the long-endurance version is expected to reach 600km.
