These landmarks in Wuhan have been "cut" out by children. On April 1st, Liudian School in Wuhan Panlong Economic Development Zone launched a paper-cutting competition with the theme of "Wuhan City Memory", and primary school students picked up colored paper and small scissors to cut out the Wuhan style in their hearts, and also experienced the charm of paper-cutting as a folk art.

After the paper-cutting competition began, under the guidance of the art teacher, the students of all grades first outlined and designed the pattern, and then carefully cut the outline of the pattern with scissors and carving knives to carve out the details. When cutting, Teacher Chen Ming of the art teaching and research group repeatedly reminded everyone: "When cutting paper, we must be careful and patient in order to cut out beautiful works."

"After cutting a piece, I feel very happy and very accomplished. Paper cutting adds a lot of fun to my campus life." Student Wang Xiyan said that in the process of cutting out the Yellow Crane Tower, she found that the Yellow Crane Tower was symmetrical, and the layers of cornices gave it a kind of atmospheric beauty. In the activity, the children cut out the Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower, and the Eye ferris wheel of the East Lake, and integrated their love for the city into the paper-cutting.

After the selection of the school's art teachers, the whole school finally selected 18 first prizes, 26 second prizes and 50 third prizes. Xu Nianjun, principal of Liudian School, introduced that the paper-cutting competition stimulated students' interest and hobby in paper-cutting art, cultivated students' healthy aesthetic taste and good artistic accomplishment, and enhanced students' understanding of paper-cutting art. Moreover, the work shows the students' ingenious creativity. "Students can not only appreciate the unique paper-cutting works, but also let the seeds of traditional culture take root in their hearts through paper-cutting practice!"
