
On the evening of March 30, GAC Group released its 2021 annual report, and its total operating income reached 429.755 billion yuan, an increase of 8.66% year-on-year; the total operating income was 75.676 billion yuan, an increase of 19.82% year-on-year. On this basis, GAC Group achieved a profit attributable to the mother of 7.335 billion yuan, an increase of 22.95% year-on-year.
According to the data, GAC Group's automobile production and sales in 2021 were 2.1381 million units and 2.1444 million units, respectively, an increase of 5.08% and 4.92% year-on-year, and the market share increased to 8.16%, which is the fifth consecutive year that the market share of GAC Group has increased. According to the total production capacity of 2.933 million units at the end of last year, the capacity utilization rate of GAC Group is nearly 80%.
In terms of products, GAC Group's passenger cars have a total of 15 series of cars, 28 series SUVs and 4 series MPV, and a total of 2558 4S stores nationwide.
In terms of independent brands, GAC Group's market stabilized and improved last year, and the results of brand adjustment were initially seen, with the cumulative sales of GAC Trumpchi reaching 324,200 vehicles, an increase of 10.35% year-on-year, and the cumulative exports of the whole year increased by 70% year-on-year; the cumulative annual sales of GAC Essa safety reached 120,200 vehicles, an increase of 101.8% year-on-year.
In terms of joint venture brands, gac group product structure sales continued to rise. Gac Motor Honda's production and sales exceeded 780,000 units, and GAC Toyota's cumulative sales exceeded 822,000 units, an increase of 8.23% year-on-year.
In the field of new energy and intelligent networking, GAC Group invested a total of 5.165 billion yuan in research and development, and applied for 2580 new patents, including 1108 invention patents. At present, it has accumulated 10620 patent applications, including 3861 invention applications.
Zeng Qinghong, chairman of GAC Group, said that 2022 is a key year for the development of the "14th Five-Year Plan", and will focus on the long-term goal of 2035 and the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan, challenging the goal of 15% year-on-year growth in production and sales.
