At the China Electric Vehicle 100 Forum (2022) held two days ago, Miao Wei, deputy director of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said at the meeting and speech that the founder of Ideal Automobile proposed in the exchange that the AEB active braking system should be made into a standard for passenger cars.

(Deputy Director of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC National Committee: Miao Wei)
In this regard, Miao Wei personally stressed: "I very much agree that with the AEB system, the possibility of crashing into the car will be greatly reduced due to the driver not noticing." This technology is very mature, the cost is not very high, AEB should be made into a mandatory part. ”
(Ideal Car Founder: Li Xiang)
Seeing this, do you think that the founder of the ideal car is causing trouble for himself, or is it really a big pattern? Among other things, in terms of the news I have learned and the ideal ONE under Ideal Car, more factors must be the latter.
Let's talk about Li Xiang personally, before there were auto bloggers mentioned that ideal cars will open source their own AEB algorithms to promote driving safety in the entire industry. Should not say, as far as this matter is concerned, Li wants to specify the pattern is open, let's not say how much availability there is in the follow-up, at least people are not thinking about how to reduce the allocation, but are willing to make their own contributions to the safety of the entire automotive industry, which is still relatively valuable.
Then, let's talk about Li Xiang's ideal ONE. Presumably, everyone has already guessed that as the CEO of a car company dares to make such a suggestion, then how to do something about its own model in this regard. Needless to say, the ideal ONE is really good in terms of AEB active braking system. The most intuitive performance is that a well-known car website held the 2021 AEB active brake test last year, and among the more than 100 models participating in the test, the ideal ONE surpassed the models of luxury brands such as BBA and Volvo and won the annual AEB championship.
From the perspective of specific performance, among the top three models in the test list, in the two major projects of "side bump" and "electric two-wheeler rear-end", only the ideal ONE car is passed at high speed, while the 5 series and X3 are both "failed". Including in several other major test items, the overall score of the ideal ONE is remarkable; for example, in the "children's pedestrian crossing" and "children's ghost probe PLUS" tests, which are relatively high in the domestic urban commuting, the ideal ONE has shown good strength.
There is also the "electric two-wheeler rear-end" test we mentioned earlier, in fact, it is an additional question in the test of the car website, and the ideal ONE can also get a high score in the additional question, the key word is "full stack self-research".
Taking the ideal ONE as an example, the car uses the "Horizon J3" chip as the core in terms of intelligent driving assistance, and carries out self-research for complete AEB functions and NOA navigation assistance driving, and calibrates more working conditions in line with China's traffic conditions. As for the effectiveness, it won the first place in the annual AEB active brake test of the ideal ONE, and Li Xiang himself dared to stand up and propose that the AEB active brake be included in the standard configuration of passenger cars, which shows that it will not be bad.
Summary: For the "AEB active brake as a standard for passenger cars" mentioned by Li Xiang, I personally also very much agree with this proposal. First, from the perspective of safety, with the AEB device, at least when we commute in the city, it can indeed effectively reduce the incidence of accidents, such as rear-end collisions and collisions with pedestrians. Second, from the perspective of the upgrading of the automobile industry, for automobile safety, in the past hundred years of history, it has never decreased; like many body designs and automotive structural parts optimization in the past, they are all for safety considerations.
What's more, nowadays, major car companies are looking at intelligent driving, so it is naturally not too much to take AEB active braking as the standard for passenger cars. So, anyway, as long as it's an upgrade/optimization for security, I think we should support and advocate, you say?
