Microsoft Paint app updates to further upgrade Win11-style WinUI elements

IT House March 19 news that last December, Microsoft tested a new Paint app. The new app gets a Windows 11-style design theme in the Edit Colors and Resize and Tilt dialogs.

Now in the latest preview version of Windows 11, Microsoft has further optimized the overall interface of Drawing, upgrading more interfaces and designs to WinUI style, especially designs such as rounded corners and Mica.

The latest version of Paint is primarily a visual update to the UI, but some of it still relies on code from the Windows 8 era. Microsoft confirms that not every dialog box has been updated, and only important dialogs such as the Eye Viewer or Resize tools still use the old design and have not upgraded Fluent and WinUI 3.0.

However, the latest Paint further enables WinUI elements in the test channel. In addition to Edit Colors, Resize and Tilt, there are other dialog boxes that have updated WinUI to match the design style of Windows 11.

In addition, you can choose a color as your second color on the color picker by holding down the Shift key.

The new version also fixes several bugs. For example, fixed an issue where text boxes moved unexpectedly when using IMEs, and where dialog boxes could not display localized languages in some regional languages.
