In February 2022, in Nuremberg, Germany, MAN presented for the first time a prototype of a new heavy-duty electric truck close to mass production.
Mass production of the model is scheduled for the MAN Munich plant in early 2024 and the first 200 units are expected to be delivered, nearly a year ahead of schedule. The new heavy-duty electric trucks are equipped with a new "zero emission" drive system that will help customers and their fleets improve overall electrification.
To ensure that customers can drive new heavy-duty electric trucks worry-free, MAN is developing more comprehensive electric vehicle solutions, including integrated digital solutions, charging products and equipment, for longer endurance. The new heavy-duty electric trucks that will soon be put into mass production will also be used in a variety of transportation industries.

The core component of the "zero emission" drive system is the vehicle battery pack, which is the largest automotive battery cell in commercial vehicles. As early as the spring of 2021, MAN Commercial Vehicles has begun to establish a professional technical team in battery packs and related fields.
In addition, MANN has launched a special eConsulting service to help customers get started faster, better adapt to fossil fuel-free drives, and easily achieve sustainable transportation. The eConsulting service will provide recommendations covering the entire fleet operation and vehicle movement, including fleet optimization, cost optimization, route analysis and charging infrastructure.
