Electric bicycle fire inspection standards

First, the electric bicycle refers to a two-wheeled bicycle with the on-board battery as an auxiliary power source, with the ability to pedal and ride, and can realize the function of electric assist or/and electric drive.

Second, the electric bicycle should meet the following requirements:

(1) Have the ability to pedal and ride;

(2) with electric drive or/and electrical auxiliary function;

(3) When driving with electric drive, the maximum design speed shall not exceed 25km/h; when driving with electric assistance, the speed of the vehicle exceeds 25km/h, and the motor shall not provide power output;

(4) The vehicle mass of the complete electric bicycle is less than or equal to 55kg;

(5) The nominal voltage of the battery is less than or equal to 48V;

(6) The rated continuous output power of the motor is less than or equal to 400W.

Third, in the case of normal use, foreseeable misuse and failure of the joint force, the electric bicycle shall ensure that no danger will occur, including but not limited to the following situations:

(1) The heat generated causes the material to deteriorate or burn the personnel;

(2) Cause combustion, explosion, electric shock, etc. in the process of charging and driving.

Fourth, the wire wiring installation should be able to meet the following requirements:

(1) All electrical wires are bundled into bundles and neatly arranged;

(2) The wire clamping device uses insulation material, if the metal material is selected, it must have an insulating lining;

(3) The connector is reliable and has no loosening;

(4) The conductive parts of all wiring of the electrical system shall not be exposed;

(5) The connection between the handlebar and the frame shall not damage the insulation of the wire due to normal rotation;

(6) The components that may be charged in the system connected to the charging power supply have appropriate protective devices in any operating situation to prevent direct contact with the human body.

Fifth, the charging line and battery output of the electric bicycle shall be equipped with a fuse or circuit breaker protection device, and its specifications and parameters shall comply with the instruction manual or other explicit provisions.

Sixth, when the electric bicycle is driven and braked, its electrical control system should have the function of powering off the motor; the electrical control system of the electric bicycle should have the function of overcurrent protection and anti-runaway protection.

Seven, the charger of the electric bicycle should meet the following requirements:

(1) In the non-normal working situation, the charger has a protective function, and there is no damage after the charger output is reversed or shorted;

(2) The charger has the function of anti-electric shock protection, and the structure and shell have sufficient protection against the easily accessible live parts. Except for chargers with AC peak voltage and DC voltage less than or equal to 42.4V.

The maximum output voltage of the battery of the electric bicycle should be less than or equal to 60V.

Nine, electric bicycle battery tamper-proof should meet the following requirements:

(1) The battery is fixed in the battery pack box, the battery and the battery pack box are reasonably matched, and the battery pack box and the battery pack box installation position are reasonably matched to prevent changing the battery capacity or voltage;

(2) The maximum gap between the battery and the side wall of the battery pack box is less than or equal to 30mm, and it does not shake;

(3) Electric bicycles shall not reserve the interface to expand the on-board battery;

(4) Electric bicycles must not have peripheral battery brackets.

10. Fire performance. The battery pack box, protective device, instrument, and lamp of the electric bicycle shall be able to withstand the glow wire test of 550 °C specified in GB/T5169.11. For power cables and single-core wires with a maximum rated current greater than 1.0A, the insulating material components of the connectors should be able to withstand the glow wire test of 750 °C specified by GB/T5169.11.

11. Flame retardant performance. Electric bicycle solid non-metallic materials should be able to withstand the test of GB/T5169.16, and the combustion categories of materials are as follows:

(1) The main circuit, the electrical components connected by the main circuit, the combustion category is V-0, such as short circuit protection devices, power connectors, main circuit wires, insulation sheaths, connectors, etc. (The main circuit is a circuit that passes through a large current from the output of the battery pack system to drive the motor.)

(2) The secondary circuit and the secondary circuit connect the electrical components, and the combustion category is V-1, such as the secondary circuit wire, heat shrinkable tube, headlight lamp holder, tail light lamp holder, turn lamp holder, short circuit protection device, electrical switch, etc.

(3) Non-metallic materials or charging circuits in direct contact with the battery, the combustion category is V-1, such as battery pack box, charging plug, etc.

(4) Non-metallic materials for charging batteries, the combustion category is V-1, such as the shell of the charger, the power cord, the input and output plug, etc.

12. Electrical safety test. Wire routing installation should be inspected using touch and visual inspection methods. Short-circuit protection focuses on checking whether a fuse or circuit breaker protection device is installed in the charging circuit of the test vehicle. Whether a fuse or circuit breaker protection device is connected to the circuit at the output of the battery. Whether the specifications and parameters of the fuse or circuit breaker comply with the instructions for use or other explicit provisions.

13. The charger shall be tested according to the following test methods:

Non-normal operation protection: Under the rated voltage, the charger output is connected to a fully charged battery (the battery has the highest capacity of the battery specified in the instruction manual), the wiring is contrary to normal use, lasting 10min, the charger should be undamaged; the charger should be undamaged in the normal working state, the short-circuit charger output wiring 15s after removal, the charger should be damage-free.

Fourteen, the maximum output voltage of the battery inspection method: after the battery is fully charged, after the static discharge for 2h, use the DC voltmeter to measure its voltage.

Fifteen, battery tamper-proof inspection method: visual inspection of battery matching performance, check whether to reserve the expansion of the vehicle battery interface. The maximum gap between the battery and the battery pack box side wall is measured using a length gauge.
