Reason of the recall

For vehicles covered by this recall, due to the layout of the battery's positive wiring harness, when the front left of the front of the vehicle collides at a specific angle, the battery's positive wiring harness may be damaged, and there is a risk of short-circuit fire.

1. Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd

A total of 87,092 units of the BREEZE and plug-in hybrid BREEZE series manufactured between January 4, 2019 and December 29, 2022 are being recalled.

2. Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd

A total of 169,000 units of the CR-V and CR-V series vehicles manufactured between June 8, 2017 and August 17, 2022 are being recalled.

Solution

Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the improved battery cathode wiring harness for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
