Beijing, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- During the two sessions of the National People's Congress in 2022, Xu Liuping, deputy to the National People's Congress, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of China FAW, was interviewed by Xinhua reporters and shared his views on hot issues such as how to take the road of scientific and technological innovation and high-quality development of the automobile industry and the trend of the new energy automobile industry.
Based on the practice and profound insight of the automobile industry, Xu Liuping brought three suggestions at the two sessions of the National People's Congress this year: first, introduce a carbon neutrality roadmap for carbon peaking in the transportation field as soon as possible; second, strengthen the management of automobile scrapping; and third, accelerate the international mutual recognition of technical standards in the automotive industry.
Xu Liuping said that this year's government work report has a very strong guide to the automobile industry. From the perspective of the automobile manufacturing industry, strengthening innovation leadership, promoting enterprises to increase investment in research and development, cultivating and expanding new kinetic energy; strengthening the supply guarantee of raw materials and key components, implementing the chain stabilization project of leading enterprises, maintaining the security and stability of the industrial chain supply chain; promoting the continuous recovery of consumption, continuing to support the consumption of new energy vehicles; and promoting the digital transformation of the industry are all heavy benefits of this year's automobile market.
In 2021, under the influence of unfavorable factors such as the continuous recurrence of the epidemic and the shortage of chips, the production and sales of mainland automobiles were booming, achieving year-on-year growth, ending the decline for three consecutive years since 2018, which is encouraging. Xu Liuping is full of confidence in this year's automobile market: at the level of industrial policy, favorable policies to promote the development of the automobile industry will bring major benefits to the automobile industry; second, at the consumption level, China has begun to enter the rapid expansion period of large-scale automobiles into the family, and the automobile industry still has great potential for development in China; three development priorities, China's new energy intelligent vehicles have entered a period of rapid development, and the automobile industry track will accelerate the transformation from fuel vehicles to new energy intelligent vehicles; With the full opening of China's auto industry, the competition in China's auto market is more intense and more international; in terms of five auto market capacity, comprehensive information from all aspects, it is expected that the scale of China's auto market will reach about 27.5 million vehicles in 2022, an increase of about 5% year-on-year, and the Chinese auto market is promising in 2022.
In this context, China FAW will take the development of "Red Flag" as the benchmark, take brand building as the guide, take the user as the center, and take the comprehensive innovation drive as the main line, and resolutely fight the four major battles of "comprehensive quality improvement, supply chain security and supply assurance, large marketing innovation and energy improvement, and digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading".
The development of new energy vehicles is the only way to become an automobile power. In Xu Liuping's view, facing the future, who can not only comprehensively balance the rhythm of transformation and change of lanes, but also accurately grasp the main offensive position of future development, make full use of their own superior resources, and firmly eliminate backward resources, who can seize the opportunity and win the initiative in this round of competition.
China FAW will seize the opportunity and take advantage of the momentum. The first is to set a strategy and clarify the development goals of new energy vehicles. The second is to innovate fiercely and break through the core technology of new energy vehicles. The third is to launch quickly and improve the layout of new energy vehicle products. The fourth is to seize the opportunity and build a new model for the development of new energy vehicles. China FAW is making every effort to build a future smart green city vehicle ecosystem with the new energy intelligent vehicle industry chain as the core chain and the "five chains" of the new consumption chain, the intelligent green transportation travel chain, the smart energy chain, and the new infrastructure chain.
Xu Liuping said that the government work report proposes to complete the three-year action task of state-owned enterprise reform, enhance the support and driving capacity of the industrial chain supply chain, continue to promote key core technology research, expand high-level opening up, and orderly promote carbon peak carbon neutrality, each of which is closely related to the automobile industry, pointing out the direction for the future development of the automobile industry, and also putting forward new requirements for the high-quality development of China FAW.
