The smallest ethnic group in Russia
According to the 2010 census, Russia predominates russians in terms of population. They live among all the subjects of the Russian Federation and number more than 111 million. In addition to Russians, Russia's ethnic population of more than a million includes: Tatars, Ukrainians, Bashkirs, Chuvash, Chechens and Armenians.
Russia is the smallest indigenous people with a population of less than 50,000 people, including about 40 people in Siberia, the Far North and the Far East. The Kreks of Chukotka and the Yugi of Yenisei are the smallest individuals, not sub-ethnic groups. No more than ten people, and the language is considered dead.

Representatives of the ancient Asian Klex lived in the coastal area of Chukotka near the Bering Sea. In the mid-20th century, there were about 100 Kereks. Under the influence of Chukotka assimilation, the krek population has been declining for decades, so according to the 2010 census, only four people called themselves Krak.
The Kereks are descendants of representatives of the original Escaleuto-Itelmen ethnic group in the early 1st century BC. Since ancient times, the Krek people have been engaged in fishing and hunting marine mammals. Southern Krex practices herding of small herds of reindeer.
During the Chukchi-Koryak War in the 18th century, the kryk population declined dramatically. The Chukchi and Kolyaks ravaged the Krek camps, capturing women and children. By 1991, only three people spoke the Kryk language of the Chukotka-Kamchatka language, and ethnically, the Kreks were almost entirely assimilated by the Chukchi.

According to the 2010 census, there was only one representative of the Indigenous Population of Yuga in the average process of the Yenisei River. The Yug language belongs to the Yenisei language family and is similar to the Kate language. According to anthropological characteristics, Yugas belongs to the Yenisei anthropological type of the Great Mongol race.
Traditionally, yugas have been engaged in gathering plants, fishing and hunting small animals. Yugi lives in two types of accommodation: makeshift tents with birch bark vise and long-term semi-bomb shelters. Yugs' national cultural traditions have much in common with the cultures of Khanty, Selkups and Shors. A distinctive feature of yugas is the use of raw meat when dining in groups.
