Miyazaki Hidetaka did not decide to give up a good job and devote himself to the game industry because of the "ICO" recommended by a friend until the age of 29, but because of his age and no relevant work experience, only a few companies such as From Software were interested in him, and finally joined From Software as an ordinary programmer at a cost of 80% reduction in salary.
For several years, Hidetaka Miyazaki was not reused, but his involvement in the development of Armored Core was also trusted by From Software, and successful people always seized the opportunity to volunteer to participate in the development of the game as a supervisor when Miyazaki heard that a new work of the company had encountered difficulties in development. He finally had the opportunity to create a game of his own ideas, the first game in the Souls series, Demon Souls.
The original works
In the end, Demon Souls succeeded, and Demon Souls ended perfectly with 1.8 million sales. But in the beginning, it was just a mess, a mess that no one wanted to take over. It was in this context that Hidetaka Miyazaki began to make it.

Cthulhu Mythos
The Curse of Blood is set in the Cthulhu mythological system, and Lovecraft, known as the father of Cthulhu, was one of Miyazaki's favorite authors in his childhood. Before making the game, Hidetaka Miyazaki led his team to Rome and the Czech Republic to reference the architecture of the region, although he himself had a fondness for European architecture. This resulted in the quality of Dark Souls 2 being inferior to that of the previous game and the subsequent Dark Souls 3.
