A few days ago, sponsored by the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the Hainan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the first exhibition of fine art works of Hainan alumni of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts was opened at the Art Museum of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts on Changgang Road in Guangzhou, exhibiting 108 Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints and sculptures, with diverse forms, with relatively strong regional cultural characteristics of Hainan, and also more clearly reflecting the excellent academic tradition of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
In the 69 years since the establishment of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts has sent a large number of outstanding leading and backbone talents in art and design to Hainan, such as Xie Yaoting, Zeng Xiangxi, Yi Zhiqun, Pan Zhengyi, Chen Maoye, Wang Guangsheng, Hu Qi, Zhang Feng, Chen Yiwen, Chen Hai, Ding Mengfang, Wang Rui, Weng Fen, Fu Xiangkang, Lin Xiandong, Liang Feng, etc., who have played an active role in Hainan's cultural undertakings, cultural industries, artistic creations and all walks of life. In addition, Tang Jixiang, Lin Yuhao, Deng Zijing, Chen Xinhua, He Jianning, Long Hu, Chen Hai, Luo Biwu and other Qiong alumni working in Guangzhou have also left a strong mark in the history of Guangdong's art development with their open and enterprising and inclusive spirit of exploration.

Wang Rui, curator of this event and executive president of the Hainan Branch of the Alumni Association of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, introduced that the exhibition is the first exhibition to return to the alma mater with the overall appearance of the provincial level since the establishment of the Hainan Branch of the Guangzhou Association of American Colleges and Universities. With the theme of "Homology and Different Colors", the exhibition not only inherits the academic style of the alma mater, but also infects the strong atmosphere of the "reform and new highland" of the Hainan Special Economic Zone, especially the new era free trade zone (Hong Kong), showing a colorful and brilliant appearance. From this, we can see the multiple faces of Hainan artists who have a relationship with Guangmei. The authors participating in the exhibition span more than half a century, and the five generations of Guangmei Hainan students are in the same room and the context is clear, which provides a useful reference for studying the development and inheritance of the art creation of Hainan alumni of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
