Based on the new second-generation GEP pure electric platform, gac motor Toyota iA5 medium-sized model, which is positioned as a "high-quality new experience EV", adopts a high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor with three electrics in one, and the 510km endurance version of the model has increased the maximum power from 135kW to 150kW, the maximum torque has been increased from 300N·m to 350N·m, and the 0-50km/h acceleration takes only 3.5 seconds under the condition of 13.1kWh/100km comprehensive power consumption.
Double-laminar flow air conditioning technology can achieve independent intake of internal and external air in low temperature environment, effectively reducing heating energy loss, improving low temperature endurance, and reducing the risk of fogging of the window. If the vehicle is driven in an outdoor -10 °C environment of 60km/h, when running from full power to 0 electricity, the double-laminar flow air conditioner can save 5.6kWh of electricity and increase the cruising range by about 30km.
In terms of charging efficiency, GAC Toyota has also made efforts. In the DC fast charge mode, it takes only 42 minutes for the power to charge from 30% to 80% (45 minutes for the Premium Long Battery Life Edition), and only 9.5 hours for AC Slow Charge (12.5 hours for the Premium Long Battery Life Edition), which is greatly improved compared with the previous charging efficiency.
In terms of appearance, the GAC Toyota iA5 is full of new shapes with a sense of science and technology, which is more advanced and atmospheric. Integrated front bumper design, the lower grille from the semi-hexagonal cascading mesh design to a new layered design, the front bumper sides extend outwards, strengthening the forward punching sense of three-dimensional sense and posture.
At the same time, in line with the needs of the Chinese market, the length of the new car body was further upgraded to 4818mm, and the width and height were 1880mm and 1530mm, respectively, becoming the largest pure electric sedan in the same class. At the same time, the design of the A-pillar forward and the C-pillar moving backward minimizes the engine compartment space and maximizes the crew compartment space.
In terms of intelligent configuration, the new car is equipped with a 12.3-inch full-fit HD central control display, a 12.3-inch screen full LCD instrument cluster, Tencent AI ecosystem, etc., and also has a mobile terminal (mobile phone) Bluetooth key function, Easy Open induction opening system, wireless charging function, providing "Fengyun Yuexiang" vehicle networking services including vehicle security, remote control, vehicle condition confirmation, charging management, and car life.
As the first joint venture in China to explore the electrification market, GAC Toyota has introduced a total of 11 products such as HEVs, PHEV and EVs, covering all categories of cars, SUVs and MPVs. Although the mileage after the redesign of this pure electric model is only close to the average standard of the industry, it cannot be compared with the long-endurance electric vehicle with a range of 800-1000 kilometers as the benchmark, but it can be seen from it that GAC Toyota is eager to accelerate the electrification, after all, compared with its own brands, the electrification market of luxury and joint venture brands is far from open.
