9,000 yuan for 30 horsepower
On the evening of February 23, Wuling Capgemini 280T model was officially launched, and the new car launched a total of 1.5T CVT automatic premium type and 1.5T CVT automatic flagship version, with the official guidance price of 115,800 yuan and 125,800 yuan respectively.
Compared with the 2020 premium and flagship models, the 280T model is only 9,000 yuan higher than the 2020 model on the basis of a small upgrade in configuration.
Looking at the power part first, the 280T model is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a model of "280T", with a maximum output of 177 horsepower and a peak torque of 290 Nm, and the transmission is matched with the analog 8-speed CVT transmission. Compared with the 2020 low-power engine, the high-power engine changed from multi-point direct injection to electronic injection, the maximum power increase was 30 horsepower, the peak torque was also increased by 40 Nm, and the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers was reduced from 7.9L to 7.6L.
According to the official introduction of Wuling, the response time of the "280T" engine is increased by 20%, the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 10.6 seconds, and the required time is 16% lower than that of the low-power version (as for the actual performance, it is expanded below).
Looking at the configuration part, the 2022 280T model has added remote start, satellite navigation system, voice recognition control system, networking system, OTA upgrade system and automatic headlights.
It is worth mentioning that the 280T model is equipped with a new generation of Ling OS Lingxi system, under the cooperation of the Internet of Vehicles and voice recognition control functions, the Ling OS Lingxi system can bring users a more intelligent and efficient interactive ecology. The user can wake up the 3D rendering car assistant through "Hello Xiaoling", and then conduct continuous dialogue and enter multiple voice commands to the car assistant.

In addition, according to the official introduction, after the OTA upgrade of the Ling OS system equipped with Capgemini 280T, the system boot speed is optimized to 28 seconds, the wake-up time takes only 0.6 seconds, the speech recognition time is compressed to 0.8 seconds, and the time required for GPS cold-start positioning is raised to 7 seconds.
For a 100,000-level family car, the intelligent layer of the Ling OS system can be said to have reached the top level. However, it is a little regrettable that the system does not support mobile phone interconnection (CarPlay/CarLife) for the time being, and I hope that Wuling can make up for this in the future to meet the "dependence" of more users on mobile phone interconnection.
There is room for improvement in the driving experience

At the same time, perhaps because the turbo of this 280T engine begins to intervene at 1000 rpm, the sensitivity of the initial throttle section is too large, even when tapping the accelerator pedal and adjusting the driving mode to ECO, the car will appear to move forward.
Fortunately, the CVT transmission simulating 8 gears can ensure the smoothness of the "shift", and does not produce frustration like other MPV that match the dual clutch transmission in the same level, so it is difficult for passengers sitting on Capgemini to feel the moment of power connection during the "shift", even if it is reactive.
However, for a "business-to-business" automobile company, ergonomics above the driver's seat is a major difficulty in vehicle research and development. As the pioneering work of Wuling entering the stage of passenger car development, Capgemini has more or less a "van" feeling in the ergonomic dimension.
For example, the position of the left foot rest pedal is backward, the steering wheel tilt forward is large, and the adjustment range of the seat height is small, under the overlapping influence of these three factors, it is difficult for the driver to find a suitable sitting position in all aspects.
Of course, it is difficult for a woman to cook without rice.
Based on the two factors of Wuling Automobile's research and development funds and weak passenger car experience, in fact, it is difficult to ask Wuling to match Capgemini ergonomics well, capgemini as an MPV model, perhaps passenger comfort is the most important. If you are a potential consumer of Capgemini, then I would highly recommend that you add 9,000 yuan to choose the 280T model, which is a rare upgrade opportunity.
