On February 22, BMW Group's new pure electric vehicle model BMW i4 was officially launched in China, and launched two models, the innovative BMW i4 eDrive40 and the innovative BMW i4 M50, with the manufacturer's suggested retail price of 449,900 yuan and 539,900 yuan respectively. At the same time, the car has been included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China's "Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Exempted from Vehicle Purchase Tax", and can enjoy the full purchase tax exemption and local new energy vehicle related support policies.
As BMW's first pure electric four-door coupe, the two models integrate BMW's rich experience in the development and manufacture of sports luxury coupes, and the new car is equipped with fifth-generation eDrive electric drive technology, advanced chassis technology, intelligent lightweight design and excellent aerodynamic characteristics, so that the BMW i4 achieves excellent battery life and dynamic control. The BMW i4 eDrive40 motor has a maximum output of 250 kW, accelerates in 5.7 seconds from zero to 100 km/h, consumes energy as little as 14.7 kWh per 100 km/ h, and has a cruising range of 625 km/h under CLTC standards. The BMW i4 M50 delivers a maximum output of 400 kW, peak torque of up to 795 Nm, acceleration from 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and range of up to 560 km/h under CLTC standards.
Customers who purchase the innovative BMW i4 can choose the charging wall box and basic installation service at the BMW New Energy Authorized Dealer; for customers who do not have the conditions for private charging installation, they can choose to open the charging card service in some cities.
