In January 2022, the sales volume of multi-cylinder diesel engines was 378,100 units, down 12.39% month-on-month and 35.85% year-on-year, and it was also impossible to get rid of the fate of "double decline" month-on-month and year-on-year. In January, the top ten enterprises in terms of sales volume were Weichai, Yuchai, Quanchai, Yunnei, Xinchai, Futian Cummins, Jiefang Power, Jiangling, Shangchai and Dongfeng Cummins, accounting for 76.52% of the total sales of multi-cylinder diesel engines in the top ten enterprises. Compared with the data for the whole of last year, the share of the top ten companies has declined slightly.

According to the above table, Weichai won the championship in January 2022 with sales of 53,300 units, but the lead has narrowed compared with last year, accounting for 14.09% of the market share. It was followed by Yuchai, which took second place with 44,600 units and a market share of 11.8%. The third place is Anhui Quanchai, which sold 42,500 multi-cylinder diesel engines in January, winning 11.25% of the market share, compared with the same period last year, the market share of Quanchai rose by 4.55%, the only one in the industry; Quanchai also achieved a year-on-year increase of 7.57% with this achievement, which is the only player in the top ten companies that can achieve contrarian growth, and the industry ranking also rose by one place compared with the whole year last year. The above three are the only companies in January 2022 that have monthly sales of more than 40,000 units and a double-digit market share.

The fourth place Yunnei Power sold 30,400 units in January, accounting for 8.04% of the market share. Zhejiang Xinchai's annual sales in 2021 ranked seventh in the industry, and in January 2022, it entered the top five with a sales volume of 25,000 units, accounting for 6.61% of the market share, an increase of 2.2% over the same period last year.
In sixth place is Foton Cummins, which rose two places from the full year last year, with sales of 23,400 units in January, accounting for 6.2% of the market. Also rising in the ranking is Shangchai, which sold 16,300 units in January, accounting for 4.32% of the share, ranking ninth in the industry.

The third place, Jiangling Motors, sold 18,500 units, accounting for 10.48% of the market share.

Anhui Quanchai ranked seventh in the commercial vehicle multi-cylinder diesel engine market in 2021, and in January its ranking rose to the fourth place in the industry, rising three places: In January 2022, Quanchai sold 16,800 multi-cylinder diesel engines for commercial vehicles, achieving a year-on-year increase of 40.15%, taking 9.53% of the market share, an increase of 6.17% compared with the same period last year. In the multi-cylinder diesel engine market for commercial vehicles, Quanchai has become the only one that can achieve growth against the trend, and the year-on-year growth rate is more than 40%, which is valuable.
In addition, Jianghuai Automobile also achieved a rise in the ranking, selling 0.98 million units of multi-cylinder diesel engines for commercial vehicles in January, with a market share of 5.54%, ranking eighth in the industry.
