The online car market has learned that SAIC Volkswagen's new Weiran will start pre-sale on February 22 and will be listed in the first quarter, with an expected starting price of about 290,000 yuan, continuing to compete with the Buick GL8. New Weiran has appeared at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show, the appearance is basically consistent with the current model, the overall size of the body is larger than the Buick GL8, in terms of length, width, wheelbase has an advantage, the large size of the body brings relatively spacious interior space, while the seat adopts a 2+2+3 layout, in line with the market positioning of IKEA.
The redesign was only adjusted in terms of interior and configuration, including the current 9.2-inch embedded central control screen upgraded to a 12-inch floating central control screen, the current mechanical gear lever upgraded to a small electronic gear lever, and the steering wheel central "VW" logo was changed to a flat design. These upgrades and designs have made New Virun even younger and more stylish.
The new Weiran series is equipped with a 2.0T engine, the power is available in low-power and high-power versions, corresponding to the 330TSI and 380TSI models, the maximum power is 137kW and 162kW, the peak torque is 320N·m and 350N·m, and the transmission part is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
