IT House February 14 news, a more interesting sign that VR headsets seem to be growing in popularity. Insurer Aviva said claims for household content involving VR headsets increased by 31 percent in 2021 and by 68 percent overall since 2016.

In 2021, vr's average claim-related incidental losses were around £650 (about 5609.5 yuan), with most incidents involving cracked TV screens.

"With the popularity of new games and gadgets, we often see this in claims made by customers," Kelly Whittington, head of uk property claims at Aviva, told The Guardian. "In the past, we've seen similar growth products, including consoles, fitness games, and even fidget spinners."

IT House understands that in less than a month and a half of 2022, Aviva has already had some VR-related claims, and the company expects more throughout the year.

Meta's Quest 2 headset hit a hit last Christmas, and the Oculus app topped Apple's App Store charts for the first time. Qualcomm CEO Ammon said in November 2021 that Meta has shipped about 10 million Quest 2 headsets.
