In the new car announcement issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the past two days, we have found new actions of Geely Automobile.
First of all, we found the new Binrui model declaration map in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and when we first saw this model, our minds immediately came up with its brother model, the Emgrand L. From the appearance, it is not difficult to see the inextricable relationship between the new Binrui and Emgrand L, the front face of the new Binrui adopts the "energy storm" front face that is very similar to emgrand L, which is one of the two design routes of Geely's "Technology Geely 4.0" model, but the difference with Emgrand L is that the new Binrui does not use a mesh front grille, but adopts a horizontal element design, under the premise of retaining the small intake grille of Binrui, the lower surround of the front face is designed with a large area of black anti-rubbing material. And the air intake design of the fog light area is larger, forming a more conspicuous large-mouth front surround, which adds to the aggressiveness of the new Binrui front face. It still looks more uplifting.
There is also a point is the change of headlights, the new Binrui headlights than the current model or slightly made some adjustments, relative to the current model of the far and near light integrated lens has changed, not surprisingly then the lamp group design and Emgrand L headlights will be more similar.
The change in the tail design is also more obvious, the overall design idea of the tail is not adjusted much, the details are first of all, the tail trunk opening is lower than the cash model, and the word mark of the current tail is moved to the lower opening of the trunk, and the upper part of the tail is more concise. Secondly, the tail light group design of the tail light group was adjusted, the original black through the trim was shortened, and the interior of the tail light group was redesigned, and the lighting effect was worth looking forward to. Finally, two grooves similar to the rear air duct were made on the left and right sides of the lower encirclement of the tail, echoing the large-mouth design of the front face, and the exhaust of the tail was adjusted from polygon to oval, and the smoked black double exhaust design of the current model was changed, which looked more eye-catching.
There are also some changes in the details, first of all, in the esoteric map, you can see that Binrui has other versions of the tail logo design, and there is also a larger tail design, which is more useful for improving the sporty tone of the whole vehicle, and the vehicle will look younger.
In addition, in other details, it can be seen that the new Binrui will also launch the F-Type sports version like the current Binrui, or the subsequent launch of sports kits for users to choose, many details of the vehicle reveal this.
The taillight F logo shown in the figure above, as well as the different colors of fog lamp decorative covers, in addition to the optional body of the same color exhaust cylinder, etc., all indicate that Geely wants to push the design of Binrui into a more sporty field to meet the needs of more and more users for vehicle movement tone.

In terms of vehicle trim size, the new Binrui's trim size is 4710x1795x1455mm, the wheelbase is 2670mm, the current Binrui's three-dimensional size is 4680x1785x1460mm, the wheelbase is 2670mm, the length, width and height are slightly changed, of course, these changes are mainly caused by some adjustments in the design, and the wheelbase performance of the vehicle is still the same. That is, the changes in the car are relatively small.
The big change occurred in the power of Binrui, it can be seen that the new Binrui will use a 1.5T turbocharged engine code-named BHE15-EFZ, and the code name of this engine also explains the power of the new Binrui officially Announced by Geely Automobile in 2021 . The power of the 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the power of the engine is 133kW (about 180 horsepower), as compared to the current Binrui 1.4T turbo engine code-named JLB-4G14TB, the power of the new Binrui directly soared close to 40 horsepower, then there will also be a greater increase in peak torque, because the power is closer to Geely's 1.5T three-cylinder engine, then we boldly guess that its peak torque will be closer to the 1.5T three-cylinder, 1 The maximum torque of the .5T three-cylinder engine is 255N·m/1500-4000rpm, and the maximum torque of the new Binrui 1.5T four-cylinder engine should be around 250N·m. But in terms of power performance, it can certainly have a big change, because the current Binrui uses a 1.4T turbo engine to match the CVT transmission power, and the new Binrui will use better engine power data, and the transmission will use Geely's 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, the comprehensive performance of this transmission has been relatively good, so the power of the new Binrui is more worth looking forward to.
Finally, in terms of price, the price of the current Binrui is 79,800-109,800, and the price of the new Binrui is very likely to rise slightly on the basis of the current model, the reason is also very simple, the new Binrui uses Geely's new powertrain, which makes up for the shortcomings of the current model power, the appearance has also been improved, the details are more exquisite, the interior is definitely a new design, and the intelligent system will definitely use Geely's Galaxy OS system, such a new model with all-round product power, A slight increase in selling prices seems understandable.
We also give a price forecast, because the new Binrui is very likely to completely abandon the manual transmission model, the price forecast is 89,800-119,800 yuan, and the listing date is more likely between late April and early June.
