After last year's finalization of barbie, a live-action film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera will join the cast in an unknown role.

The project first came out in 2009 and was not further heard until 2014, when Sony Pictures announced that "Juno" screenwriter Diablo Cody would write the script, and then in 2016, it was rumored that Amy Schumer had signed a show and possibly co-wrote with Hilary Winston.
