The Pingshu Railway Special Line is included in the key construction projects of the Railway Special Line promoted by the National Development and Reform Commission, and is an important channel to ensure the sales and export of Shouyang coal, and the approval of the first phase of the project construction land was obtained in 2020. In order to speed up the construction of the second phase of the project, Pingshu Railway Company set up a project team to strengthen communication and coordination with the government and railway departments, and smoothly obtained the procedures for project construction land.
On April 13, 2021, the first phase of the Shanxi Pingshu Railway Special Line project officially broke ground. The total length of the special line is 16.1 kilometers, of which 8.888 kilometers are heavy vehicle lines and 7.2 kilometers are empty car relief lines. As the dedicated line is connected to the Shitai Line, 5.8 kilometers of The Station and the Shitai Line are reconstructed.
The whole line is divided into two parts, the first part is a railway dedicated line, the special line is connected to the Shitai Railway at Qinquan Station in Shouyang County, the line goes west for 2.5 kilometers and then passes down the Taijiu Expressway and G307 National Highway, and enters the Pingshu Nanshi Station on the North Double Line of Shouyang Qilihe Village.
After the Pingshu Railway special line is connected to the Main Line of Shitai Railway, the designed transport capacity is 10 million tons / year in the near future, and 13 million tons / year in the long term, and the cargo varieties are mainly coal.
After the completion of the project, it will not only greatly improve the energy and speed of Jin coal transportation. At the same time, it plays an important role in effectively reducing road dust and vehicle exhaust emissions, improving Shouyang air quality, helping enterprise development, and promoting Shouyang economy.
