There have even been cases of deaths

Chinese New Year's Eve night to roast the fire, a family of 6 together to send to the hospital
Xiao Li's family of 6 spent Chinese New Year's Eve nights in the hospital ward. Because of the gathering of the fire, carbon monoxide poisoning entered the bottle kiln branch of the Hangzhou First Hospital Group (Yuhang Third Hospital).
According to Chen Jun, chief physician of the Department of Neurology of the hospital, when they were first sent to the hospital, the family of 6 had dizziness, headaches, nausea and vomiting to varying degrees, and two of them even had loss of consciousness.
Moreover, after arriving in the hospital, the blood gas analysis checks that the carboxyhemoglobin value is several times more than the normal value, and the highest is more than 30%, while the normal value of carboxyhemoglobin is only 0.5%-2.5%. The situation is critical and requires immediate hyperbaric oxygen therapy. After a detailed understanding of the patient's condition, according to the examination results to exclude contraindications to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Chen Jun immediately opened the cabin for treatment of 6 patients.
Fortunately, xiao Li's family was found and sent to the hospital in time, and received hyperbaric oxygen treatment at the first time, and has now returned to normal and improved discharge. It is reported that from Chinese New Year's Eve to February 10, 20 carbon monoxide poisoners were treated in the Yuhang Third Hospital.
A mahjong game, all 4 of them were rushed to the hospital
Recently, there have been related deaths in Hangzhou
During the Chinese New Year, there were cases of carbon monoxide poisoning in many places in Hangzhou. From January 24 to February 0, the First People's Hospital of Jiande City alone treated nearly 30 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning, including deaths.
On the evening of February 8, a large group of people hurried to the emergency room of a hospital in Jiande City and helped four paralytic companions.
It turned out that after eating that night, the four of them played mahjong. They played mahjong in the basement, and because it was cold, they also put a charcoal brazier for heating.
In the airtight basement, the four of them fought, but found that their heads were getting more and more dizzy, their bodies were getting more and more uncomfortable, and one person even fainted on the table after a brief coma. Everyone realized that they might be poisoned by carbon monoxide and hurriedly called their families to send them to the hospital for treatment.
Doctor: Remote townships have a high incidence of winter
Be sure to keep air circulating when grilling
"Carbon monoxide poisoning is one of the highest incidences in winter, especially in remote townships. In the case of no ventilation, the use of gas, water heater bathing, charcoal, briquettes for heating, is easy to occur carbon monoxide poisoning. Lai Zhiliang, director of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment Center of a hospital in Jiande City, introduced.
What is carbon monoxide poisoning?
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, odorless combustible gas, in daily life, often due to insufficient fuel combustion and production, inhalation of the human body is greatly harmful. Carbon monoxide poisoning can damage the human central nervous system, respiratory system, circulatory system, resulting in corresponding harmful symptoms, and in severe cases, it can lead to coma and death.
Mild intoxication (10% to 30% of carboxyhemoglobin): dizziness, heavy head, headache, weakness of the limbs, blurred vision, sluggishness, nausea, vomiting, palpitation, and even brief syncope.
Moderate intoxication (30% to 40% of carboxyhemoglobin): In addition to the symptoms of mild poisoning, there are dyspnea, flushing, cherry red lips, nails, skin, mucous membranes, sweating, rapid heart rate, irritability, lethargy, often coma and prostration. Blood pressure rises in the early stages and decreases in the later stages.
Severe toxicity (carboxyhemoglobin 40% to 60%): In addition to the above symptoms, there will be deep coma, convulsions, dyspnea, and even respiratory failure, which may be complicated by cerebral edema, pulmonary edema, myocardial damage, arrhythmias, conduction block, shock, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Those who have been in a coma for a long time may have multiple organ function damage such as the brain, liver and kidneys, and the mortality rate is high. Survivors after rescue can have a variety of sequelae.
A small number of severe patients have a false healing period of about 2 to 60 days after resuscitation and wake up, and even symptoms of delayed encephalopathy will occur.
How can carbon monoxide poisoning be prevented?
(1) When heating with coal stoves in winter, the coal stove should first be equipped with smoke tubes, and check whether the coal stove and smoke pipe are leaking, whether the flue is blocked, whether it is unobstructed, and determine the direction of smoke exhaust according to the local wind direction to prevent the wind from being poured. Do not block the damper of the fire, set up a vent in the house, and pay attention to the circulation of indoor air.
(2) The coal stove that has just been born is the most likely to produce carbon monoxide, and the window should be opened for ventilation in time, and after the furnace fire is strong, then seal the fire, and do not use wet coal to seal the fire. After sealing the fire, the ashes that have not been burned should be cleaned up in time.
(3) Use a qualified water heater, to purchase a water heater that meets national standards, please install it with professionals. Do not install inline gas water heaters in the bathroom. The bathroom should be equipped with an exhaust fan for ventilation, and the gas takeover should be checked regularly to prevent gas leakage.
(4) When driving, do not let the engine idle for a long time; when the car is stopped, do not use air conditioning for too long; in driving, you should often use external circulation to generate convection of air inside and outside the car. When driving or riding in an air-conditioned vehicle, if you feel dizzy, heavy, and weak limbs, you should open the window in time to breathe fresh air, and stop and rest when you feel uncomfortable.
(5) Raise awareness, enhance safety awareness, start with prevention, and establish the idea of "safety first". After a long ceasefire, when regenerating the fire, be sure to check the smoke pipe and chimney to ensure their own safety and avoid causing greater damage to the fire. When possible, carbon monoxide concentration detection alarms should be installed in living places where carbon monoxide gas may be present.
