Basic principles of safe electricity distribution in residential buildings:
(1) The capacity of a line branch should be as far as possible below 1.5kw, if the power of a single electrical appliance is more than 1kW, it is recommended to set it as a branch alone.
(2) Lighting and sockets should be divided into different line branches as much as possible. When the electrical equipment connected to the socket line fails, the power supply of the branch will be interrupted, which will not affect the work of the lighting line, so the socket line can be overhauled in the case of lighting, if the lighting line fails, the temporary lighting fixture can be connected to the socket line to check the socket line.
(3) Lighting can be divided into several line branches. When one lighting line fails, it will not affect the work of other lighting lines, and when distributing electricity, it can be divided into two or three lighting lines according to different rooms.
(4) For high-power electrical appliances (such as air conditioners, electric water heaters, induction cookers, etc.), try to allocate a line branch for an electrical appliance, and the line should use a wire with a large cross-sectional area. If multiple high-power appliances share a line, when they are used at the same time, the wire will be easy to heat up due to the large current flowing, even if the wire will not burn out immediately, long-term use will also reduce the insulation performance of the wire. Compared with wires with small cross-sectional area, the resistance of conductors with large cross-sectional area is smaller, and conductors with large cross-sectional area are less prone to heat loss and have a longer service life.
(5) The sockets of humid environments (such as bathrooms) and the line branches of lighting fixtures must be grounded to protect them. The general socket can use two-pole, three-pole ordinary socket, and humid environments need to use splash-proof three-pole socket, and the lamps used have a gold shell, which requires the shell to be grounded (connected with the PE line).
