According to reports, January 31 and February 1, the first or two days of the Chinese New Year are peak hours, and the mobile Internet access traffic on that day was 589,000 and 654,000 TB, respectively, an increase of 18.2% and 18.6% year-on-year.

IT Home learned that the alternative role of mobile Internet services on calls and text messages has further emerged, with a total of 53.17 billion minutes of mobile phone billing time in the 7 days of the Spring Festival holiday, down 3% compared with the 7 days of the Spring Festival of the previous year; the national mobile SMS sending volume of 20.75 billion, down 2.1% compared with the 7 days of the Spring Festival of the previous year, of which the mobile SMS sent on January 31 and February 1 on the first day of the Chinese New Year was 3.87 billion and 2.95 billion, respectively.

Officials said that during the Spring Festival guarantee period, basic telecommunications enterprises have invested a total of 237,000 person-times in support personnel and more than 30,000 vehicles, and adopted special safeguard measures for epidemic prevention and control guarantees, key areas and key routes for festival activities.
