Statistics show that during the 7 days of the Spring Festival holiday from January 31 to February 6, 2022, the mobile Internet access traffic reached 4.349 million TB (1 TB = 1024 GB), an increase of 21.7% compared with the Spring Festival in 2021, and a growth rate of more than 20% for three consecutive years. Among them, January 31 and February 1 were peak hours, and the mobile Internet access traffic on that day was 589,000 TB and 654,000 TB, respectively, an increase of 18.2% and 18.6% year-on-year. The substitution effect of mobile Internet services on calls and text messages has further emerged, with a total of 53.17 billion minutes of mobile phone billing time during the Spring Festival holiday, down 3% compared with the Spring Festival of the previous year; the national mobile SMS sending volume of 20.75 billion, down 2.1% compared with the Spring Festival of the previous year, and the mobile SMS sent on January 31 and February 1 (the first day of the Chinese New Year) was 3.87 billion and 2.95 billion, respectively.
During the Spring Festival, basic telecommunications enterprises invested a total of 237,000 communication support personnel and more than 30,000 vehicles.
