After giving birth to a child, this method helps you cope easily!

Leaking urine after childbirth is a common embarrassment for a quarter of all women. Many postpartum mothers do not dare to laugh out loud, nor dare to run too fast, and if they do not pay attention, there will be "embarrassment" of leakage of urine... In fact, this is all the scourge of pelvic floor muscle relaxation after childbirth. According to statistics, about 25% of female friends will have the problem of postpartum leakage after giving birth.

The 2 main causes of postpartum urinary leakage

First, with the continuous enlargement of the fetus during pregnancy, the abdominal pressure increases at the same time as the uterus increases, and the two work together to loosen the pelvic floor muscles;

Second, during the production process, the process of fetal delivery exerts more pressure on the pelvic floor muscles, resulting in further damage to the already tired pelvic floor muscles.

Pelvic floor muscles are avoided in childbirth compared to mothers who have a vaginal birth, but lasson during pregnancy cannot be avoided, so postpartum urinary leakage may also occur. From the clinical data, the pelvic floor muscle condition of the mother who gave a caesarean section one year after the childbirth will be better than that of the mother who gave birth normally, but there is no big difference in the pelvic floor muscle condition between the two after that.

Early pelvic floor muscle repair methods

Pelvic floor muscle training methods include pelvic floor muscle training (also known as Kegel exercise) and pelvic floor electrical stimulation therapy.

Pelvic floor muscle function exercises can change the pelvic floor nerves, increase muscle contraction strength and tone, provide structural support for the bladder and urethra, and enhance the strength of the urethral sphincter.

Pelvic floor electrical stimulation therapy can stimulate the pelvic floor nerves, produce rhythmic pelvic contractions, and can promote pelvic floor muscle contractions. Pelvic floor physiotherapy and training in the early postpartum period can effectively restore pelvic floor function.

Kegel Exercise (Pelvic Floor Muscle Training)

Kegel exercise is a simple and effective pelvic floor muscle training method that can be done at home.

Training Method:

Repeat the action of tightening the anus, tighten it for no less than 3 seconds each time, and then relax, do 15 to 30 minutes for 1 group of exercises continuously, and carry out 2 to 3 groups of exercises every day; or do not deliberately group, do 150 to 200 times a day at a time of your choice, and 6 to 8 weeks for a course of treatment.

Training steps:

Contract the pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds, first lie down, bend the knees, and contract the pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds. If you are uncomfortable, you can start shrinking for only 2 to 3 seconds.

Relax the pelvic floor muscles for 10 seconds, and before repeating the exercise, relax the pelvic floor muscles for 10 seconds. Count from 1 to 10. This avoids pelvic floor muscle strain.

Repeat 10 times, use the strength of the waist and abdomen to prop up the hips, contract the pelvic floor muscles for 5 seconds, then lower the hips, relax for 10 seconds, so that this is counted once; do 10 times to count a group; practice a group at a time; practice 2 to 3 times a day.
