Changan New Energy recently announced the new car plan, this year the brand will launch at least 3 new models, namely the A185 based on the EPA0 platform and the C385 and C673 based on the EPA1 platform, and will also launch more than 20 new intelligent electric vehicles including three cars and four cars based on the EPA1 platform within five years. The addition of new vehicles has further broadened Changan New Energy's existing product matrix, or may bring increased sales to its sales. According to the plan, Changan New Energy plans to sell 210,000 new cars in 2022, an increase of 110% year-on-year.
Specifically, the first C385 fully assembled prototype car based on the EPA1 pure electric platform has been rolled off the production line. The new car is positioned as an A+ Class sedan and is larger in size than the Tesla Model 3. In terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with L3+ level advanced assisted driving, super-collector electric drive, AR ecological smart cockpit, and has high-frequency pulse heating, 0 fire batteries and other safety configurations. C385 will be listed in the first half of this year and is expected to be priced at around 150,000 yuan.
The C673, also from the EPA1 platform, is positioned as a cross-border SUV, and from the perspective of the product strategy of the Changan new energy brand, it is expected that the price of C673 will be slightly higher than that of C385. The A158, which is based on the EPA0 platform, is positioned as a national boutique scooter, and is expected to be larger than Chery Ant, Euler Black Cat and other models. According to the plan, the A158 will be officially unveiled during the Beijing Auto Show in April and officially delivered in June-July.
