A few days ago, Geely Automobile issued an announcement that the joint venture company established with Lifan Technology has completed the industrial and commercial registration procedures and is named Chongqing Ruilan Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ruilan Automobile"). In the future, Ruilan Automobile will launch a variety of power form products. Based on self-developed power exchange technology, Ruilan Automobile is committed to creating an intelligent power exchange ecology and providing competitive power exchange products and services for the market.
Just a few days ago, Geely launched a smart replacement car Maple Leaf 60S, and the new car will be officially launched in February 2022. It is reported that maple leaf 60S has a "rechargeable and replaceable" capability, and users can choose 30min DC fast charging or 60s power exchange mode. Obviously, the product name of the 60S is derived from its power exchange time.
Geely said that the power exchange architecture adopted by Maple Leaf 60S is provided by the joint venture company established by Geely and Lifan, which is also in line with the business structure of Ruilan Automobile's "self-developed power exchange technology".
Maple Leaf Automobile was established in March 2019, and the enterprise investigation information shows that the actual controller of its subsidiary, Fengsheng Automobile Technology Group Co., Ltd., is Li Shufu, with 100% voting rights. In September 2019, the brand name was determined to be Maple Leaf Motors, in July 2020, the first new car Maple Leaf 30X was launched, and in March of the following year, the first replacement tram Maple Leaf 80V was listed. The two new cars are based on the Geely Vision X3 and Jiaji models, and the sales volume and market response are not outstanding.
The newly unveiled Maple Leaf 60S, also based on Geely Emgrand GL, is a pure electric model and supports power exchange mode. It is understood that the new car will be operated through the online car and taxi market in the early stage, deeply cultivate the travel market, and after accumulating enough experience and data, it may be pushed to the civilian market.
According to the plan, Geely will lead the research and development of the next power exchange model, while Lifan Technology is mainly responsible for the layout and production of charging and replacing facilities. By 2025, Geely will successively launch 5 pure electric models with exchangeable electricity. According to people familiar with the matter, the relevant pure electric vehicle models will focus on the market of 50,000-80,000 yuan, and will form a new brand sequence in the era of Geely electrification with extreme krypton and geometry.
According to the "Jiuda Longwan Action" plan, Geely determined that the total sales volume of the group will be 3.65 million vehicles in 2025, and in the field of new energy, in addition to the sales task of 650,000 vehicles undertaken by Extreme Kr Technology, the geometric brand undertakes the sales task of 300,000 vehicles, and the new technology replacement travel brand will undertake the sales task of 200,000 vehicles. Now it seems that the target data of the last 200,000 vehicles will be shared by Geely and Lifan.
