On January 24, Geely Automobile Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced that the joint venture company established by Geely and Lifan Technology has completed the industrial and commercial registration procedures and obtained a business license issued by the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, which is named Chongqing Ruilan Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. ("Ruilan Automobile").
The announcement shows that Ruilan Automobile will launch a variety of power form products in the future. Based on self-developed power exchange technology, Ruilan Automobile is committed to creating an intelligent power exchange ecology and providing competitive power exchange products and services for the market.
It is understood that as early as 2018, Lifan raised 2.48 billion yuan through fixed increase for a series of projects of intelligent new energy vehicles. Nowadays, based on the existing industrial base and production resources, Geely Technology Group's layout of power exchange not only saves a large amount of production costs, but also helps to lay out in advance in the power exchange mode and seize the proportion of the market.
In May last year, Lifan, which completed the reorganization, restarted its automobile business, and the first power-changing model, Lifan 80V, was also mass-produced in Liangjiang New Area, marking that Lifan has stepped out of the "ward", returned to normal life and entered a new stage of development.
Lifan 80V is the standard replacement model of Maple Leaf 80V, and Maple Leaf 80V is the second mass production model of Maple Leaf Automobile, based on Geely's GBRC power exchange platform, which is geely's first electric vehicle to use power exchange. In addition, Lifan Maple Leaf 80V also has the largest space size in the same class, and is equipped with zero-pressure comfortable car seats, intelligent one-key start and other intelligent equipment, which enhances the driving experience and alleviates long-term driving fatigue.
It is understood that the GBRC power exchange platform can adapt to a wide wheelbase range of 2700 ~ 3100mm, covering many categories such as cars, SUVs, MPVs and even logistics vehicles, light trucks, etc., fully meeting the needs of different markets such as online car-hailing, private car, taxi, logistics vehicle and so on.
Ruilan Automobile mainly provides a complete set of solutions including power exchange products and power exchange services for B-end and C-end users, and plans to have 5,000 power stations covering 100 core cities by 2025 to meet the power exchange needs of 1 million vehicles, and the two sides will also launch a new power exchange brand.
Recently, Lifan Technology released 2021 sales data, December new energy vehicle production was 1302 units, an increase of 2267.27%; sales of 1840 vehicles, an increase of 1528.32%. In 2021, the cumulative output of new energy vehicles was 3938 units, an increase of 271.86% year-on-year; sales were 3810 units, an increase of 258.42% year-on-year.
From the current situation, Lifan is considered to be a rebirth of nirvana, after undergoing reorganization, name change and new investors to join, the current Lifan is no longer the original Lifan.
