Since the "Belt and Road" initiative was proposed, Lanzhou Customs has focused on supporting Gansu Province to promote the construction of an open platform, and at present, the province's open platform has gradually become a system. Lanzhou, Dunhuang Air Port and Lanzhou Railway Port have been completed and operated successively, Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport International Air Port has opened 35 international (regional) passenger routes, 14 international freight routes, and Dunhuang Air Port has opened 2 international (regional) passenger routes. On the morning of December 4, 2021, Gansu's first China-Europe train to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, departed from Wuwei South Railway Station in Gansu Province, marking a new channel for Gansu Province to deepen interconnection and economic and trade smoothness with countries along the "Belt and Road".

On December 12, 2014, the "Tianma" (Wuwei South - Almaty, Kazakhstan) China-Europe express train was successfully launched, becoming the earliest international freight train in Gansu Province. Since then, the international freight trains in Gansu Province have been opened one after another, and the open channels have been fully expanded. On July 5, 2015, the "Lanzhou" (Lanzhou-Almaty) Central Asia International Freight Train was successfully launched; on May 11, 2016, the "Lanzhou" South Asian Public Railway Intermodal International Freight Train was launched; on September 29, 2017, the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway was opened for operation, and Gansu Province opened two southbound corridor (the predecessor of the "New Land-Sea Trade Corridor") to open up the southbound sea outlet; on June 5, 2020, the "Zhongjiwu" public railway intermodal international freight train was launched. The second international trade corridor of international public railway intermodal transport in Gansu Province runs through the whole line.

Up to now, Gansu Province has initially formed a three-dimensional open channel network of 4 to 5 new channels for Central Europe, Central Asia (Central Jiwu), South Asia and international land and sea trade.

In order to support the construction of three-dimensional open channels in Gansu Province, Lanzhou Customs has issued 11 measures to support the development of China-Europe express trains, support enterprises to independently choose customs clearance modes, promote the reduction of customs clearance compliance costs, create a "green channel" for customs clearance of trains, support the release of transport capacity of China-Europe trains, promote the development of multimodal transport business of China-Europe trains, support the normal and normal operation of international freight trains, two-way parallelism, and accelerate the formation of a new pattern of all-round opening-up. In 2021, Lanzhou Customs has supervised a total of 20 international freight trains, with a freight volume of 15,300 tons and a cargo value of 279 million yuan, a substantial increase over 2020.

In August 2021, after being released by Lanzhou Customs' Tianshui Customs Quarantine Qualified Customs Clearance, the 1.3 tons of "Qin'an Peach" declared by Tianshui Continent Cross-border Comprehensive Service Co., Ltd. were successfully cleared and transported by air to Shenzhen Airport Port for direct export to Singapore, which is the first cross-border e-commerce enterprise-to-business (B2B) mode direct export of goods in Gansu Province, marking a new "golden channel" for export goods in Gansu Province.

"The implementation of the enterprise model by cross-border e-commerce enterprises has changed the solidified thinking that can only be exported through traditional methods, and opened up a new situation for the expansion of exports of featured products." The relevant person in charge of Tianshui Customs said that in addition to peaches, apples in Tianshui, Jingning and other places have been exported to the enterprise model through cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

It is understood that since 2021, Lanzhou Customs has organized field research and policy training in the Lanzhou and Tianshui cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test areas to provide one-on-one business guidance for bonded online shopping operators in the comprehensive bonded area to help solve problems.
