China's heart is determined, the United States is confused, and the same is true on the issue of cross-strait relations; the motherland's march toward reunification is the aspiration of the Chinese people; the United States still can't resist constantly "stirring up trouble" on the Taiwan issue, and their cards are getting more and more chaotic.
Recently, the United States "supported" Taiwan independence and took another substantive step, and the US Department of Defense announced that it would approve the sale of equipment and services estimated at an estimated value of $100 million to Taiwan to help the Taiwan military maintain and improve the Patriot missile system. The US arms sales to Taiwan seriously violate the one-China principle and the provisions of the three Sino-US joint communiques, especially the provisions of the "August 17" communique, seriously harm China's sovereignty and security interests, and seriously damage Sino-US relations and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. In this regard, china is challenging China's national sovereignty, which China firmly opposes and strongly condemns.
The United States began to sell the "Patriot" missile to Taiwan in 1993, and later in 1996, 2008, and 2010, it carried out the delivery of missiles and sold more models of missiles such as the Patriot PAC-3 launch group and 114 Patriot PAC-3 missiles. There are two differences between the current US arms sales to Taiwan and the previous comparison: First, compared with the first US arms sales to Taiwan, the amount of money has been greatly reduced; second, the timing of the US announcement to the outside world has been selected during the Beijing Winter Olympics. So what is the purpose of this US move? Some analysts believe that this is to stir up trouble on the occasion of China's hosting of the Winter Olympics and add to China's blockage. In addition, in light of the recent US provocations in Russian-Ukrainian relations, the main purpose of US arms sales to Taiwan is to incite "Taiwan independence" against the mainland and to mold itself into a defender of peace, thus achieving the effect of smearing and isolating the mainland.
Immediately after the relevant departments of the US Government decided to sell about $100 million worth of "Patriot Missile Engineering Services" (IESP) and "Battlefield Surveillance Project" (FSP) project plans to Taiwan, the DPP authorities immediately expressed their gratitude, believing that it was "US support for Taiwan." The weapons and accessories sold by the United States to Taiwan need to be calibrated frequently, and the purchase of weapons is equivalent to the purchase of after-sales service, and the Arms Sales to Taiwan by the United States are more as a business and do not care whether weapons and equipment can play a role. Although this move has encouraged the arrogance of "Taiwan independence" elements, the DPP authorities' vain attempt to "resist force with force" can only be a dead end; every mistake in "Taiwan independence" will be an opportunity to speed up reunification, and US arms sales to Taiwan will only accelerate the mainland's military pressure on "Taiwan independence."
In view of the "Taiwan independence" operation, the PLA has long prepared for the worst. The US move is to push the "Taiwan independence" elements onto the guillotine, and if the United States wants to rely on the Taiwan card to contain China and contain China, it will certainly fail.
