In 2021, Amazon carried out operations such as banning accounts and freezing accounts for acts such as "manipulating reviews", "brushing orders" and "account associations", which greatly affected many Chinese sellers, resulting in a large backlog in the overseas warehouses of the banned companies. In terms of investment and financing, the number of cross-border e-commerce financing events in 2021 was 77, an increase of 133.33% year-on-year; the total amount of financing was 20.7 billion yuan, an increase of 191.96% over the same period last year of 7.09 billion yuan. In terms of provincial distribution, the top three are: 33 in Guangdong, 16 in Shanghai, and 10 in Zhejiang.

Zhang Zhouping, director of the B2B and cross-border e-commerce department of the E-commerce Research Center of the Network Economic Society, pointed out that the network economic and social society defines cross-border e-commerce as cross-border retail e-commerce in a narrow sense, which belongs to the transaction subjects of different customs, with the help of the Internet to achieve transactions, payment settlements, and deliver goods to consumers through cross-border logistics, including: 9610, 1210, 1239 and other customs supervision code models. The list has been comprehensively evaluated by the E-commerce Research Center of the Network Economic Society according to the enterprise data included in the "Dianshubao", the e-commerce database under the Network Economic Society, including hard indicators such as platform scale, revenue, profit, investment and financing (valuation), monthly activity, rating, and soft indicators such as industry influence and word of mouth. It aims to reflect the current development of domestic cross-border e-commerce enterprises. The list is classified according to industry segmentation: export cross-border e-commerce, import cross-border e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce service providers, etc., a total of 100 enterprises, and the listed companies are domestic leading enterprises in various fields.
