On May 18, the 2024 China Peony Capital Outstanding Contribution Award and Peony Award Ceremony were held in the studio of Heze Radio and Television Station. The "Peony Twelve Hairpins" Jiangmi face sculpture work created by Liu Yanzhong (team), the fifth-generation inheritor of Jiangmi people, a national intangible cultural heritage project of Cao County, won the Golden Peony Award in the folk craft category of this year. This is the second time to receive this award after winning the Golden Peony Award last year.
The works of Jiang Miren, who won the Golden Peony Award, are composed of 12 female figures dressed in different Hanfu, with different postures and natural expressions. Even more striking are the brightly colored peony flowers, whose petals are as thin as cicada wings, and the colors are bright and eye-catching.
At the award ceremony, Zhao Yi, chairman of the Shandong Folk Literature and Art Association, presented Liu Yanzhong with a certificate and trophy of the Golden Peony Award.
According to Liu Yanzhong, the original intention of the creation of Jiangmi people's works in "Peony Twelve Hairpins" is to spread and exchange the peony culture and art in our city, and in addition, through the dressing of the characters' costumes, it has also played a positive role in the promotion of Hanfu culture. The whole group of works lasted more than 5 months from planning and design to creation.
