Emergency doctors remind: Young people should also beware of cerebral hemorrhage

A 25-year-old boy weighing 230 pounds suddenly fell into a coma in the early hours of the morning and was in urgent need of rescue, but his family lived on the sixth floor, and there was no elevator, the room was older, and the stairs were narrow. How can first responders rescue them? On January 18, reporters from Shenyang Evening News and Shen Bao conducted interviews on the matter.

Ask for help The guy suddenly has an emergency and urgently needs rescue

At 5:29 a.m. on January 13, the Zheng Na emergency team of the Tiexi No. 1 Branch of Shenyang Emergency Center received an emergency task: "There is a patient in a community on Jingxing South Street who has a sudden emergency and urgently needs rescue. The emergency team immediately got out of the car to the scene, and on the way, the emergency personnel learned through the car phone that the patient was a 25-year-old boy weighing 230 pounds. Considering that the boy's family lived on the 6th floor, Zheng Na immediately informed the 120 command center to reinforce the moving force.

Critically ill and in need of transport as soon as possible

After arriving at the scene, the first responders saw the young man who was in a coma, and the rescue was immediately launched. Zheng Na opened the patient's respiratory tract and examined the patient accordingly. After excluding the coma caused by blood glucose abnormalities, Zheng Na combined the patient's pupillary photoreflux (critical condition) and blood pressure of 170/110mmHg, which is very likely to consider acute cerebrovascular disease. With years of rescue experience, Zheng Na immediately carried out decisive and effective rescue treatment for the patient. Nurse Li Mingyang skillfully performs venipuncture, establishes venous passages, keeps the airways unobstructed to connect oxygen, ensures an adequate oxygen supply for patients, and monitors vital signs. At this time, the reinforcement of emergency personnel has arrived at the scene to wait for the doctor to issue a lifting order, and after reconfirming the patient's vital signs, the doctor issued a transfer order.

Transporting Four medical staff worked together to carry the patient downstairs

Zheng Na said in an interview with reporters: "At that time, the patient's condition was very critical, the condition developed rapidly, and there was a possibility of cerebral hemorrhage at any time, and we needed to transfer the patient to the hospital for emergency treatment as soon as possible." ”

Considering that the patient's home is on the 6th floor and the room is older and the stairs are narrow, in order to prevent the patient's condition from changing during the transfer and lifting, the space is narrow and it is difficult to perform rescue, Zheng Na prepared the endotracheal intubation equipment in advance, and nurse Li Mingyang carried nearly 10 pounds of defibrillator in case of emergency. Four emergency personnel began to transport patients, at which point Zheng Na immediately notified the hospital to start the stroke center, open a green channel, and prepare to rescue patients.

Because the patient was overweight and the stairs were narrow, four first responders put the stretcher on their shoulders, so that the space for transport became larger. The patient was transported from the sixth floor to the ambulance for more than ten minutes, and the four first responders were already sweating in the cold winter.

More than 10 "serious diseases" of more than 200 pounds are transferred in a year

The ambulance driver Chen Haoli quickly sent the patient safely to the nearest hospital, 120 seamlessly connected with the green channel in the hospital, and immediately performed a brain CT examination on the patient, and the boy was diagnosed with cerebral hemorrhage, and then was admitted to the neurosurgery department for the next step of treatment.

Zheng Na told reporters that just a week ago, the Tiexi Branch Center transported a 40-year-old man weighing 270 kilograms, unfortunately due to the serious condition, the patient went to the hospital for two days to rescue, or died. The Tiexi Branch of Shenyang Emergency Center has transported more than 10 patients with more than 200 pounds in one year, all of whom are young and middle-aged people aged 20 to 40 years.

Remind young people to pay attention to regular work and rest

Zheng Na said that in recent years, the number of cases of cerebral hemorrhage encountered by first responders in young people during rescue visits has increased significantly. With the acceleration of the pace of modern work and life, young people have great pressure on their work and life, and many people work overtime and stay up late, irregular work and rest, lack of exercise, unbalanced diet, and excessive weight, resulting in cerebral hemorrhage diseases becoming more and more favored by young people.

The doctor reminds the public, especially young friends, to pay attention to rest, stay up less late, and work and rest regularly. Scientifically regulate the control of blood pressure and blood sugar to avoid excessive fluctuations in blood pressure and blood sugar. Quit smoking, limit alcohol, exercise moderately, and maintain a good lifestyle. In case of emergency at a critical time, please call the 120 emergency number immediately to strive for the best time for treatment.
