The "strongest brain" is unimpeded through the north-south coal transportation channel

author:Bright Net

The special action promoted by the State Railway Group to ensure the supply of thermal coal has lasted for more than 4 months. According to the latest news released by the State Railway Group, as of February 3, the number of days of coal storage in 363 railway direct power supply plants across the country has reached more than 18 days, creating the best results in history.

The 1813.5-kilometer-long Haoji Railway is an important passageway for the transportation of coal from the north to the south, connecting the "Golden Triangle" region of Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia energy with central China such as Exianggan, and is also an important part of the mainland's comprehensive transportation system.

On February 8, a reporter from Science and Technology Daily visited the Haoji Railway and found that the operation of this large channel has the "strongest brain". Relying on a platform composed of big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, 5G, etc., the "brain" uses information technologies such as data analysis, video monitoring, and artificial intelligence to introduce CTC dispatching train operation control system, Beidou system detection, comprehensive video and intelligent analysis and other systems, which greatly improves the safety and efficiency of the whole line.

Intelligent integrated dispatching system: from the dispatching station to the station section to form the Haoji railway "big data"

On September 30, 2019, the Haoji Railway Intelligent Comprehensive Scheduling System was put into use, and since then China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Xi'an Bureau) has realized high-quality comprehensive transportation scheduling, deeply integrated intelligent technology and information system, and dynamically grasped the status of trains and train marshalling content through computers, and significantly improved operational efficiency and transportation quality. "Dispatching and command are integrated with station operations, sharing the same data source, and seamless operations in the station." Zhu Bin, an informatization engineer at the Xi'an Bureau's dispatching office, said.

On the screen of the comprehensive height hall of the Yan'an operation and maintenance section of the Xi'an Bureau, the screen of the grouped trains moving in and out, including the number of trains entering and leaving the coal transportation line, coal loading, empty car distribution and other information is clearly presented. "Haoji intelligent integrated scheduling system, like 'clairvoyance', in addition to a variety of distribution information, can also display line safety hazards, unattended station yard overview and equipment maintenance personnel on-site operations, so that the station, each train's 'grooming', a screen to see the difference." Zhu Bin said.

At present, 18 small stations under the management of China Railway Xi'an Bureau have realized the automatic pick-up and dispatch function, and automatically obtain real-time pick-up and dispatch trains at CTC stations without operators, entering the era of unattended.

Detection system: upgrade from manual to intelligent

After the haoji railway 10,000 tons of heavy-duty trains started, the maximum single-trip transmission capacity was increased from 0.6 million tons to 12,000 tons. Jingbian East Railway Station is the largest container transport marshalling station under the management of the Xi'an Bureau of Railways, and is an important transfer station of the Haoji Railway, a major coal transportation channel of "North Coal South Transport".

In order to ensure the supply and transportation of thermal coal in the "two lakes and one river" (Xiang'egan) area this winter and next spring, the Yan'an operation and maintenance section has increased the technical transformation of equipment, installed a video surveillance system and an overload load system for cargo loading status at Jingbian East Railway Station, upgraded the original pure manual detection to an intelligent system, and allowed the coal train heading south to complete a comprehensive physical examination within a few minutes, and at the same time, it also reduced the personal safety risk brought about by the frequent boarding and disembarking of cargo inspectors.

With the help of artificial intelligence, the coal train inspection operation at Jingdong Station has become safer and more efficient, and the stop time of heavy-duty trains passing through the station has been compressed from 25.3 hours to 14.8 hours, an efficiency increase of 41.5%.

Beidou satellite system: let 17 sets of railway systems be unified and punctual in time

As the Haoji Railway becomes more and more informatized and intelligent, how to ensure the safe and punctual operation of 10,000 tons of coal trains and the unity of time? The secret is to enable the Beidou satellite navigation system.

The railway time synchronization system is known as the "Beijing time" of the railway. Since the introduction of the Beidou satellite navigation system by the Railway Time Synchronization System of the Haoji Line, it has provided accurate and reliable time source signals for 17 sets of systems such as train dispatching, comprehensive video, tunnel rescue, and electric telekinesis, ensuring that the deviation of the running time of different railway systems is not more than 200 m/s, ensuring that the train dispatching and command are unified and efficient, and ensuring the safety and orderly organization of railway transportation in the North Coal South Transport Corridor.

"Relying on the Beidou satellite navigation system, the Time Synchronization System of Haoji Railway provides accurate time source signals for each railway system, 24 hours uninterrupted." While reducing the running time error and error of communication equipment, it greatly improves the safety and stability of the railway communication network, and provides a high-quality and reliable communication network guarantee for the safe and punctual operation of 10,000 tons of coal trains. Wang Yongfeng, director of the Communication Network Management Center of the Communication Section of the Xi'an Bureau of Railways, said. (Jiaoyang)
