"Jiaolong" is a manned submersible designed by China itself and independently integrated and developed, with a length of 8.2 meters, a width of 3 meters, a height of 3 meters, a crew of 3 people, and a maximum diving depth of 7062 meters, which is the largest diving depth of the same type of manned submersible in the world, and can move freely in the sea area accounting for 99.8% of the world's ocean area. "Three people diving at a time, several kilometers away from the mother ship on the surface of the water, without a physical connection to the surface of the water, rely on three people to operate." Since the sea trial in 2009, Jiaolong has carried out more than 100 successful dives in 7 sea areas, including the South China Sea and the Mariana Trench area of the western Pacific Ocean, with fruitful deep-sea scientific and technological achievements, and obtained a large number of precious video data and geological and biological samples with high-precision positioning.

Following the "Jiaolong" manned submersible, the "Hailong II" unmanned cabled submersible and the "Qianlong I" unmanned cableless submersible are also stationed at the Qingdao Deep Sea Base, which form the "Deep Sea Dream Team" and continue to explore the more mysterious deep sea world.
