Qilu Network Lightning News, January 20, 2017 On April 28, 2017, the sixth generation of deep-water semi-submersible drilling platform in the mainland, "Offshore Oil 982", was sent to the Nansha Islands for operation. "Offshore Oil 982" has overcome the once-in-a-century wind and waves in the South China Sea and the complex seabed geological conditions, and has become another long-distance oil and gas delivery heavy equipment on the mainland. The most critical link in achieving all this is the ocean deep water separator.
As the most important link of the drilling platform, the marine deepwater riser has the characteristics of high technology, high investment and high risk, and its core technology has been in the hands of several foreign industry giants. Whether it is possible to produce marine deep-water separators with independent intellectual property rights is the lifeblood of the mainland oil and gas industry.
In 2014, Shandong Haomai Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. was commissioned by GE in the United States to start research and development of the trap casing project. GE has put forward a number of stringent requirements, the most demanding of which is to require HOMAG to accept the welding process evaluation set by foreign experts. The Chufutang team independently developed more than a dozen kinds of CNC special equipment and more than 20 kinds of special tools to build an automated production line.
Due to the high requirements of welding consumables and the small range of welding selection, they have replaced 25 kinds of welding consumables and carried out more than 200 sets of tests, but the experimental results are not satisfactory. This went on for almost a year. On April 2, 2016, a batch of new welding consumables was in place. After repeatedly modifying the working parameters of each component, the R&D team once again pressed the button of the welding test. On April 3, the results of the trial data showed that this time it was finally successful! The R&D team hit the iron while it was hot, and it took only one month for the welding evaluation to be approved.
On August 25, 2016, under the joint witness of many parties, this super project, which lasted for 2 and a half years and was participated by more than 120 people, finally came to an end. The first marine deep-water riser with independent intellectual property rights in the mainland was born in the workshop of Shandong Haomai Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
On May 18, 2017, with the last separator transport truck driving out of HOMAG, the price of marine deepwater risers in the international market fell by nearly 50%, completely breaking the monopoly of foreign technology. Shandong Haomai has thus become the first in the mainland, and the only enterprise with the ability to produce a complete set of offshore oil and gas engineering equipment with functional leverage, to help the development of oil and gas fields in the deep sea area of the mainland, and since then has engraved the mark of "Made in China" in the field of marine separators in the world.
