On January 17, Ford China announced the official opening of the new Ford China Design Center in Shanghai. According to reports, the center is Ford's latest global design center, with the whole process design capabilities from design trend research, interior and exterior design design, color material design, digital interaction experience design to digital model and full-size clay model production.
Ford China said that the opening of the center aims to attract more design talents with both global vision and local experience, and focus on design and development for the Chinese market.
Ford China also said that in the past two years, the number of employees at Ford China Design Center has increased tenfold. More than three-quarters of creative design team members are now young local designers under the age of 35.
It is worth mentioning that with the opening of the new design center, a new generation of Ford Mondeo has also been officially unveiled, and the new car adopts the design language of "potential energy aesthetics" to show Ford's latest achievements in the field of design.
The new generation of Ford Mondeo vehicles presents a ratio of front length and back short. The streamlined design creates an agile, fluid sense of movement. The through-led daytime running lights emphasize the visual width of the whole vehicle, the tail and the front face maintain a coordinated and consistent design, the taillights integrate the classic three-dimensional design elements, and outline the surroundings with a sporty blackening treatment, visually once again emphasizing the body size, creating a delicate and powerful aesthetic.
