In ancient society, there were sometimes some intergenerational marriages, such as sisters marrying fathers, sisters marrying sons, but sisters marrying fathers, sisters marrying sons, it is very rare. In this case, the sister has become the sister's mother-in-law, and the two sisters I want to talk about today belong to this situation, and both of these sisters also have a certain reputation, the sister is the first queen of the Founding of the Qing Dynasty, Empress Xiaoduanwen, and the younger sister is the Shoukang Princess who has gone through five dynasties.
In 1593, the Haixi Jurchen Yehebu gathered nine allied forces to attack the Jianzhou Jurchens, and the wise Nurha attacked them in a red-hot way, defeating the nine allied forces. Of the nine coalition forces, an army from the Mongol Horqin army, led by the brothers Belle Manggus and Kongguoer, eventually fled back to the Horqin.
After this battle, the brothers Manggus and Kong Guo'er deeply felt the stakes of Nurhaci, so they intended to improve relations with Jianzhou, and it just so happened that in order to make Jianzhou more powerful, Nurhaci also had this intention, so Nurhaci sent emissaries to Horqin to propose marriage.
In April of the forty-second year of the Wanli Dynasty (1614), Belle Manggus of the Korqin Tribe married his 16-year-old daughter Zhezhe to The Eighth Son of Nurhaci, Emperor Taiji, who was already married, and Fu Jin was the daughter of Eyidu, Nyūrō Ulu, and Theo Fujin was the daughter of Ulamara, the daughter of Ullabe Bele Boguoduo.
However, with the rise of the strategic position of the Horqin Ministry, Zhezhe's status in the Imperial Taiji Mansion gradually improved, first the Emperor Taiji Concubine Fujin NiuHulu clan was abandoned by the Emperor Taiji for breaking into the Khan's palace by a palanquin, and then the Emperor Taiji succeeded to the Dafujin Ula Nala clan also died early, so Zhezhe became the new Emperor Taiji Dafujin.
It is said that in the second year of Zhezhe's marriage to Emperor Taiji, that is, in February of the forty-third year of the Wanli Calendar (1615), the Jianzhou Jurchen and the Horqin Tribe were good to Qin and Jin, and Belle Kongguo'er married her daughter Borjigit to nurhaci, the lord of Jianzhou, who is what we call Shoukang Taifei, according to the maternal generation, Borzigit was Zhezhe's cousin, but now, she has become her sister's mother-in-law.
Although Nurhaci made the Borzigit clan a lateral fujin, the Borjigit clan was not favored, and Nurhaci's favorite at that time was the grand concubine Abahai, the biological mother of Dorgon. After coming to Jianzhou, borzigit often stayed alone in her bedroom, full of loneliness and uneasiness, but this was her mission, and in order to maintain the relationship between the two tribes, she had to sacrifice her personal happiness.
In the eleventh year of the Mandate of Heaven (1626), the eleventh year of Borzigit's marriage to Nurhaci, Nurhaci died of illness, and from then on, the young Borzigit became a widow. However, the new Great Khan of Houjin was Emperor Taiji, the husband of Zhezhe, a cousin of the Borjigit clan, so the Borjigit clan would not be wronged in the slightest, but would be treated with a certain amount of favors.
After that, after the cousin and daughter-in-law Zhezhe of the Borjigit clan became the first founding of the Qing Dynasty, the Borjigit clan continued to live a boring life in the palace, successively through the Mandate of Heaven, Tiancong, Chongde, shunzhi, and lived until the Kangxi Dynasty.
After Kangxi succeeded to the throne, he ordered that the five-dynasty princess Borjigit be crowned as the emperor's great-grandfather Shoukang Taifei in the specifications of an empress, and four years later, Borjigit died of illness in the Forbidden City at the age of 68.
