The hierarchical system of ancient society was strict, and what kind of treatment would be enjoyed by what kind of hierarchy did not have to be transgressed. However, there were always exceptions to everything, and there was a concubine in the Qing Dynasty who enjoyed the treatment of an empress, who was crowned as a princess with the etiquette of an empress, and she had a unique title: Shoukang Princess.
Shou kang's surname is Borjigit, seeing the surname Borjigit, everyone may first think of Empress Xiaozhuang, so what is the relationship between Shoukang and Empress Xiaozhuang?
According to historical records, Princess Shoukang's father was Konggol, the king of Bingtu County, Horqin, Mongolia, and Konggol was a cousin of Empress Xiaozhuang's grandfather Manggusi, that is, Princess Shoukang was the cousin of Empress Xiaozhuang and a cousin of Empress Xiaoduanwen.
In 1614, The cousin of Princess Shokang of the Borjigit clan (hereinafter referred to as the Borjigit clan) married Emperor Taiji, the eighth son of the Jianzhou Jurchen Nurhaci, and the following year, the Borjigit clan was also sent to Jianzhou by her father Kongoer, but the Borjigit clan married Nurhaci. As a result, borzigit became the mother concubine of his cousin Zhezhe.
At that time, Borjigit was only a 16-year-old girl, and Nurhaci was already a 56-year-old man, and Nurhaci's mind was almost all on the grand concubine Abahai, but he was rarely lucky to be with this flower-like woman around him.
In August 1626, a generation of male lord Nurhaci died of illness near Shenyang, since then, the 27-year-old Borjigit clan began a widowhood career, although she will be alone in the Qing Palace from now on, but fortunately her cousin ZheZhe became the Great Fu Jin of the Great Golden State Khan Taiji, and later became the Empress of the Middle Palace of the Great Qing Kingdom, so the Borjigit clan did not suffer any grievances in the harem, but was respected by people, because she had become the highest-ranking woman in the Qing Palace.
The time came to October of the eighteenth year of Shunzhi unconsciously, when the eight-year-old Kangxi had been emperor for nearly a year, and in this month, the Kangxi Emperor issued an edict ordering that borjigit be crowned as the emperor's great-grandfather Shoukang's concubine with the specifications of an empress. In the Qing Dynasty, the Borzigit clan was the only woman to be crowned as a princess by the empress.
In the fourth year of Kangxi, the Borjigit clan came to the end of her life, she went through the Five Dynasties of Mandate of Heaven, Tiancong, Chongde, Shunzhi and Kangxi, becoming a legendary concubine in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, it is worth mentioning that after the death of Shoukang Taifei, the Manchu Qing royal family did not follow the early customs to cremate it, but buried the Borjigit clan in the form of earth burial in the Shoukang Taifei Garden Bed (Fuling Concubine Garden Bed), thus Shou kang Taifei became the first concubine of the Qing Dynasty to practice burial after death.
