When Jiaqing is mentioned, it gives the impression that it is decent, that everything is strictly adhered to by the ancestors, and that he is a veritable lord of shoucheng. Moreover, we don't seem to have heard of Jiaqing particularly pampering a certain woman. In fact, this benevolent prince also has his own favorite women, such as Empress Xiaoherui and Emperor Gongshun, and then such as Emperor Heyu and Concubine Zhuang, but we cannot ignore another woman, she is Concubine Hua.
Speaking of Concubine Hua, everyone was impressed by the flying and indispensable concubine in the "Biography of Zhen Huan", but there was never a Concubine Hua in the Yongzheng Dynasty, and the prototype of Concubine Hua in the Biography of Zhen Huan was The Noble Concubine of Emperor Dunsu, and the real Concubine Hua was actually in the harem of the Jiaqing Emperor, and this was also a very unique woman.
In the 39th year of Jiaqing, Qianlong appointed a concubine fujin for his son, Yongyan, the later Empress Xiaoshurui. According to the custom, the emperor would also give a different number of official women to the crown prince, who in addition to serving the prince and fujin, may also have relations with the prince, and then be accepted as a concubine, called Gege.
In February of the 43rd year of Qianlong, Qianlong gave Yongyan a group of official women, including a Woman of the HouJia clan, named Liuyou. Hou Jiashi was a clothed woman from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who belonged to the yellow flag under the full custody of the collar, that is to say, Hou Jiashi was a woman from Xinzhiku, although her status was low, but her father was a high-ranking bureaucratic family.
Hou Jiashi was a gentle and well-behaved woman, who looked a little bit liked by Yongyan, and Hou Jiashi also gave birth to a daughter for Yongyan in the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong, that is, the sixth daughter of the emperor, but this sixth daughter of the emperor did not live long before she died. However, judging from Yongyan's attitude toward Hou Jiashi later, Yongyan didn't care much about whether she had children or not.
In the first year of Jiaqing, Jiaqing, who had just succeeded to the throne, named Hou Jiashi as a concubine, and even if he was an old person in the hidden residence, it was rare to be able to seal the concubine as soon as he entered the palace. Moreover, only six years later, Jiaqing once again promoted Hou Jiashi to concubine, and the title he had drawn up at first was Jingfei, which was later changed to Huafei. There are only eight women in the Jiaqing harem who can finally rank above the concubine position, and Hou Jiashi is one of them, which shows its position in Jiaqing's heart.
However, since the birth of Qianlong in the fifty-fourth year, Hou Jia's body has plummeted, and according to the Qing Palace Medical Record, Hou Jia's perennial illnesses such as insufficient blood qi, internal wetness and external cold can be seen, which shows that she is a completely weak woman.
On June 28 of the ninth year of Jiaqing, that is, only three years after Hou Jia's promotion to concubine Hua, this concubine who was favored by the emperor died of illness in the Qing Palace, and it was unexpected that Jiaqing actually came to his Ji'an to pay his respects, which was the same as the later Concubine Zhuang.
