For GAC Aeon, 2021 is a year of rapid sales growth, from January to November this year, GAC Aeon's cumulative sales exceeded 100,000 vehicles, reaching 105,700 units, an increase of 102.3% year-on-year, and completed the annual sales target of 100,000 vehicles ahead of schedule.

However, some recent news about the rise in commercial insurance costs for new energy vehicles seems to make users who are ready to choose GAC AION V worried, will it be difficult to save electricity bills, all handed over to insurance premiums? Therefore, in response to this concern, we re-conducted a new survey of the cost of using the car after the premium adjustment AION V, and the scope of the survey is still in the three aspects of insurance cost, maintenance cost and electricity cost.

Insurance cost survey

Brake oil needs to be replaced every 40,000 km; air conditioning filters need to be replaced every 20,000 km; antifreeze needs to be replaced every 40,000 km; gear oil needs to be replaced every 60,000 km. The price of replacing these accessories ranges from 200-500 yuan, compared to other pure electric models, the price is somewhat high, but due to the long replacement cycle of accessories, it will not increase too much car cost.

We still use three years of driving 60,000km as the car cycle, calculating the total maintenance cost of GAC Aion V, about 4,000 yuan, an average of about 1333 yuan a year, there is no doubt that this price is quite low in the same level. However, like other GAC Aean models, the AION V costs 300 yuan per maintenance, which is slightly higher.

Electricity Bill Survey

As a high-end SUV of GAC Aean, the AION V leads the same class in terms of pure electric mileage, with a starting cruising range of 500km. According to our previous survey, the actual power consumption of AION V per 100 kilometers is about 14.3kWh, and we calculate the electricity cost of AION V at the current electricity price of 0.56 yuan / kWh, which takes about 4800 yuan for three years to drive 60000km, and the average monthly electricity bill is about 133 yuan. As a pure electric SUV with a curb weight of more than 1.8 tons, the AION V's electricity tariff performance is average in the same class, but it still has obvious advantages compared with the same price point of fuel SUV.

We add up the insurance cost, maintenance cost and electricity cost after the price increase, and we can calculate that the cost of the car used by GAC Aion V for three years to drive 60,000km is about 25,611 yuan, an average of about 8,537 yuan per year, an average of 711 yuan per month, and an average of about 23.7 yuan per day.
