Under the influence of unfavorable factors such as chip shortage and raw material price increases, automobile production and sales in 2021 still achieved steady growth, ending a downward trend for three consecutive years.

Data show that in 2021, China's automobile production and sales reached 26.082 million and 26.275 million vehicles, respectively, an increase of 3.4% and 3.8% year-on-year, respectively. Among them, the sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.521 million units, an increase of 1.6 times year-on-year, ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years.

In addition, China's automobile exports also hit a record high in 2021, with the annual export volume reaching 2.015 million units, an increase of 1 times year-on-year, accounting for 7.7% of total automobile sales. The industry predicts that China's auto market is expected to achieve sustained growth in 2022, and the total sales volume is expected to reach 27.5 million units, an increase of about 5% year-on-year.
