Porto midfielder Sergio Oliveira has arrived in Rome, where the player will undergo a medical examination.
At 11:39 local time in Italy, Oliveira was parachuted into Rome Ciampino Airport.
Roma and Porto have reached a loan agreement for Oliveira for €1 million and €13.5 million for a transfer option.
In the 22nd round of Serie A, Roma will play Cagliari at home. Roma midfielder Cristante will miss the game. Mourinho is likely to send Oliveira to the game immediately in this game.
Sergio Oliveira was Roma's second signing in the January transfer window. Prior to Oliveira's arrival, Roma had already loaned right-back Niles from Arsenal until the end of the season.
Arriving in Rome with Oliveira was the player's daughter-in-law and their puppy.
Oliveira's daughter-in-law is Cristiana Goncalves Pereira.
Oliveira and Christiana's love affair began in 2016. The two entered the palace of marriage on June 14, 2019. The two currently have no children, so the couple has only brought their dog to Rome.
At the time, Oliveira called his marriage to Christiana "the best contract of a lifetime," and his daughter-in-law responded that marrying Oliveira was her "greatest happiness."
The year after their marriage, Christiana began working as CEO of a modeling agency. The company has offices in Porto and Lisbon.
So when Oliveira joins Roma, her daughter-in-law Cristiana will travel back and forth between Rome and Portugal. Oliveira came to Italy to start a foreign business for her daughter-in-law.
