Awareness before awareness is the core spirit of Chinese culture

Wang Qi's "no good and no evil" was said by Confucius more than 2500 years ago. In the Analects of Yongye, Confucius said, "The middle is virtuous." The middle is virtue, which means the mentality of moderation. Moderation is a state of mind, what kind of mentality? Confucius did not elaborate. Zhu Xi of the Southern Song Dynasty once explained that "moderation" said that the middle one is impartial and has no fault. Mediocre, usually also. Since then, after the Southern Song Dynasty, the four books have been taken, and everyone has interpreted according to Zhu Xi. Indeed, the meaning of "moderation" lies in the word "zhong". Moderation, how to understand it?

The middle way is often used as a derogatory term. In fact, moderation is the Tao, a state of mind that is in harmony with the Tao, the Dao Mind. If you cannot understand "moderation", do not be anxious. "Moderation" is indeed difficult to understand. Confucius already knew that we could not understand. Confucius said, "I know what the Tao does not work." Those who know are too much, but those who are foolish are not enough. The way is not clear, I know. The sages are too much, and the unworthy are not enough. People can not eat, rarely know the taste also. ("The Mean") means that people cannot be "moderate", I know. The wise will be biased toward the good, and the stupid will be biased toward the evil. Everyone misunderstands the meaning of "moderation", and I know it. Those who seek to be self-motivated will be biased toward good, and those who are not motivated will be biased toward evil. Man, who doesn't eat? But how many people can really eat the original taste of the meal? Man, who can leave the middle way? However, it is too difficult to really understand the true meaning of moderation.

At the end of 2005, at the China Management Workshop, I specifically talked about "moderation" and normalcy. Normal mind, talk about it easily. It's hard to really be normal. In fact, the moderate mentality is what we call the ordinary mind. In life, there are lives and deaths, and there are gains and losses. The sun and the moon, there are rises and falls, there are circles and lacks. Life and death, gain and loss, rise and fall, and lack of happiness are all facts. So, who is good and who is evil, who is good and who is evil? Who is good and who is bad? Who is beautiful and who is ugly? Who is right and who is wrong? Even children know that there is life and death, and there is death and life. But how many of us are not greedy for life and afraid of death? Life and death, it does not matter whether good or evil is good or bad. Good and evil are "man-made" imposed on things. Moreover, people have also produced a psychological phenomenon of seeking benefits and avoiding harms. The human heart regards life as good and death as bad. Then, survive and avoid death. As a result, the real world, which was originally free of good and evil, was "artificially" turned into an illusory and unreal world with good and evil gains and losses. When we open our eyes, we see the world of good, evil, good, bad, yes and no. Not only that, but people also have to argue endlessly between people about good and evil, good and bad, and right and wrong.

Therefore, there is a good and evil heart, which deviates from the truth of the facts; the heart that seeks profit and avoids harm, deviates from the Tao.

What is ordinary mind? Equality is equality. Treat the gains and losses of life and death with an equal heart. Life is good, and death is good. Often, is normal. By dividing people or things into good and evil, our hearts are not right, we are crooked. Positive means that there is no good and no evil.

What is moderation? Moderation is to withdraw our minds from the two sides of good or evil, right and wrong. When there is no good or evil in the mind, our mind is the mentality of moderation.

Qualities are the qualities that take away good and evil from our hearts. Wang Yangming said that the so-called sincerity is to "remove the wrongness of the heart and complete the righteousness of its essence." To let the heart of right and wrong, the heart of good and evil, return to the heart of no good and no evil, is the merit of character, is the merit of sincerity. So, sincerity is moderation.

How to lattice objects? How to cultivate sincerity? How to practice? How to ascend to the realm of moderation? The University's approach is concise and subtle. The University says, "Knowing and then being still, being still and then being able to be still, being quiet and then being able to be at peace, being able to be at peace and then being able to worry, being able to worry and then being able to get." ”

The six words of stopping, concentration, stillness, peace, worry, and attainment, I call this the six-word secret of psychological counseling. In the later practice of psychological counseling, I used the six-character secret to conduct psychological counseling and extracted a simple, reliable and fast "Zengzi Therapy". The biggest feature of "Zengzi Therapy" is that it changes the limitations of Western psychological counseling theory that must explore personal privacy, and realizes a new method of psychological counseling that does not have to touch personal privacy.

Where do the troubles come from?

Where does the good mood come from?

The insincerity of the human heart, the deviation from the middle way, is the root of all troubles. When the human heart returns to sincerity and returns to the way of moderation, all troubles suddenly lose their roots. Therefore, knowing the Tao, believing in the Tao, and following the Tao are the shortcuts to happiness in life. The road of good mood, if you leave the road, the farther you go, the harder you work, the more painful it is. So as the old saying goes, those who follow the path prosper, and those who go against the path perish. If you do things according to the Tao, a good mood will prosper, and a happy life will prosper. Treat the affairs of the world with sincerity, treat the people of the world with love, the peace of the country, and the peace of the world. Chinese culture is valued for harmony. And is the basic spirit of Chinese culture. The basis of harmony is sincerity, and the basis of sincerity is the Tao. With sincerity from the Tao, and with the rebirth of qi. Harmony is the symbiosis of the world, and the world is one. The Word, there is no right or wrong. Leaving the Tao, there is nothing wrong with it. Man has the heart of right and wrong, good and evil, and the bud of trouble sprouts from then on. What is Chinese Culture? Chinese culture is the education of "first awareness and later awareness". Chinese culture is neither ancient Chinese nor ancient Chinese culture. Foresight, those who have become enlightened; hindsight, I am waiting for those who are not yet enlightened. Those who have not yet attained enlightenment, practicing the path of enlightenment with those who have already attained enlightenment, is the core spirit of Chinese culture. Therefore, we understand that Chinese culture is "the wisdom education of saints to mortals." What is the criterion for enlightenment?

Wang Qi's "no good and no evil" is the standard. The mind of "no good and no evil" is the enlightened mind of enlightenment. The heart is like a mirror, spotlessly clean. The "no good, no evil" heart, not tainted. The mind is untainted, the mind is not stained, the knowledge is not stained, and the things are not stained. Whether it is modern people or ancient people, as long as they are ordinary people, they must learn the path of enlightenment with the saints. Confucius was a saint, an enlightened sage, three thousand disciples, and seventy-two wise disciples. They all learned the path of enlightenment from Old Master Kong. But can they represent the wisdom of Confucius? No. Similar to today's schools, students have to take exams, and there are students who fail exams. Can a failing student represent the teacher's level of knowledge? Similarly, in practicing the path of enlightenment with Confucius, some disciples have excellent grades, some are good, some are average, and some are not passed. Only a disciple with excellent grades can approach the state of mind of "no good and no evil." Zhu Xi was a disciple of Confucius in history, and his Commentary on the Four Books is a report card for the study of Confucius's path of enlightenment. How many points can Zhu Xi's "Notes on the Four Books" score, this talent is shallow and shallow, and there is nothing he can do. However, the "Notes on the Four Books" definitely does not reach the level of wisdom of the "Four Books", which is completely certain. If Zhu Xi's Commentary on the Four Books or other treatises are regarded as the "Four Books" or the wisdom of Confucius, Chinese culture will be too wronged.
